I have brought my Toyota tundra to this location 3 times in the last 5 months to try and get a trailer brake put on. The first two times I dropped it off and they told me they had the part when indeed they didn’t have the part. Each time blaming someone else for the service being bad. This third time I dropped it off………. I get told the part is there then they tell me on the night of the first day that the part wasn’t dropped off adequately. They ask to leave it for the next day to install it. I don’t even get a call and I call at 6:40 to get told they couldn’t install the brake controller. I tell them not to touch it and I’ll be in the next day and when I go to pick my vehicle up it he brand new battery I put in is dead. After all this the manager didn’t even call me tonight to tell me that they’ve had the truck up and running. This location has piss poor service and zero communication skills. Your a customer service retailer, your business is run off of locals do better!

Do not go here u will be ripped and lady at front counter is rude n filthy dirty women.i had small child woth ne n lady was using very fowl language also brush ur teeth ur breath was awful and watch ur mouth around children.the trucks break down bad tires for being ripped off they should be free to drive cause non of them would pass inspection in my garage.

Don't rent from this location! I would give them a zero, prior experience of renting a truck from Augusta, I came in the next day and told the guy that the truck I rented didn't seem to be running right .. I would like a different one .. I was told we don't have any .. which was a LIE! I then had to go to the Waterville location and rent a truck, and ask the guy their if he would check to see the available trucks in Augusta .. and he confirmed what I knew had happened the guy from Augusta was a jerk! and lied .. Waterville was very helpful, had me in a truck and back on the road .. Thank you for the wonderful service, your store is the best!

This was the least professional U-Haul building I have ever been to. I had a 7am appointment to have a trailer hitch put on; I drove an hour to be there for 7am, once there I was told to come back at 2pm when their trailer hitch guy got in. I drove an hour home, then drove an hour back for my 2pm appointment. I was there for 2.5 hours while my car was in theory being worked on. My trailer hitch was being warrantee replaced due to rust and a bend. First the kid they called a mechanic told me my hitch was fine and tried to send me on my way. Then he tried to tell me my bent hitch had always been that way. After that he said he would replace it, but all I saw him do was walk around the building and talk to other employees. After two and a half hours he informed me that my trailer hitch was rusty and I would have to go to a REAL mechanic to get it removed. During the 2.5 hours I sat there, I had the opportunity to watch the rest of the employees and listen to them. The F word seems to be one of their favorites. I heard them laughing at costumers after they left. I heard that the store manager was either getting married or was at a wedding(perhaps the route cause of their behavior). One person called in looking for a job, they put it on speaker phone and stood around describing the job in a highly unprofessional manner. There was a female employee who was clearly wearing a thong and no bra(the male employees seemed to like following her around). So after two trips to Augusta(1 hour each way) and 2.5 hours of sitting in their building, I left without a hitch being put onto my car. 6.5 total hours of my day waisted. If I could rank this U-Haul at zero stars, I would!

Overall a good experience. The locker was clean and air conditioned. I detected no mold on my items after storing the whole summer. I have two critiques that made this a 3 star experience rather than 5 star.1) I had a upper level locker which required use of the portable staircase. The opening at the top of the staircase was too narrow to easily passing U-Haul medium and large boxes into the locker. Therefore, we had to lift the boxes over the rail. I would have expected the staircase to be designed to the dimensions of the U-Haul boxes for ease of loading and unloading the lockers.2) The units are billed by the month, and the rate is not prorated if I move out mid-month. I went one week past my bill date, but paid for the whole month. I'm sure they rented out the unit after I moved out and effectively collected double payment for the last 3 weeks of the month. I leaves a bad taste.

I wish I could give them zero stars in terms of customer service. The entire experience made me question ever wanting to rent with U-Haul again. When attempting to pick up my rental, I placed the order as a mobile pickup. When attempting to use that option, I had difficulty completing the process because there were difficulties with the U-Haul website, so I decided to go inside to get assistance. We were met with an attitude from and employee named Brianna, and she decided to give us short, blunt, responses to questions for assistance. One of those questions was to ask for help on what to do to complete the signing in process. She decided to bluntly state “well do you have anyone that can be added as a third contact?” without attempting to just verify the order with us at the counter. When returning the vehicle, we returned it with less than a mile used, and I stated that because of the performance of the vehicle, we did not want to use it, and returned it. We asked simply if there was any way for us to get any sort of refund based on us not liking the vehicle, and once again with an attitude, she stated “no you can’t get a refund because you used it”. I don’t know why she decided to work in a customer service field, but she should definitely not be working with people.

This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a business. They made so many mistakes that have taken days to resolve. The biggest issue was the truck that I was assigned didn’t even match the one listed on the contract. Because of this, they could not find the truck upon drop off and had to review camera footage. The truck I ended up with had no gas, even though we are expected to return trucks 3/4s full. Hundreds of $$$ out the window. Angry is an understatement.

Honestly this place sucks. I don’t understand why it takes 45 minutes every time when there’s a reservation. There’s one person at all times and they are all so slow. The worst uhaul location. Every single time.

I was charged an extra day (so double) after I had called and asked how much extra wiggle room on time I had. I was told I would not have extra charges if I brought the equipment back by x time. When I brought it back by x time I asked the gentleman at the counter again "will I have extra charges or anything?" He said "nope you're all good you will just be charged the original rental amount" then I got charged for an extra day on both pieces of equipment. I tried to work it out with uhaul and they have just blown me off. They started my rental time when they started the paperwork which took 45 minutes. 45 mintues that I couldnt use the equipment. I also had to hook everything up and take a picture of everything for them which took out more time. They also messed up the payment methods. Very unhappy and will look elsewhere from now on.

Blatant rip-off in 2 areas of the bill. Truck was a little dirty when we got it but no problem- it’s a truck. They charged $25 for cleaning! Next, we were asked to return it with the same fuel level. We did. They stated it was lower, wished I took a picture.Moral of the story is DON’T let them deal with the return like a rental car. Do it with a rep in person. They are clearly looking for any way to screw you.Go Penske!

Went in today to buy a bunch of boxes for upcoming move. We were looking to buy multiple bundles. Asked for a cart. They said there are no carts. Looking around found wheeled cart that clearly was for boxes, so we started loading our bundles. Dude sitting behind counter told us to stop, that those weren't meant for that. Didn't offer any help at all. Just walked out. We will buy elsewhere and suggest you do as well.
