Bangor Public Library is a safe and caring place and a fantastic public library. It is a beautiful, charming, and well-maintained historic building with a massive collection, blending more than a century of history with modern services. It is a gem with historical architecture, a beautiful dome, and a very historic sofa. Visitors will find an atrium, a business center, public meeting spaces, a computer lab with classes and individual tutoring, public computing space, printers and copiers and scanners, and tween, teen, and children’s spaces. The children’s department is outstanding, offering a range of activities and a great selection of books. There are also five art galleries, art exhibits, and live musical performances. The virtual library is full of databases, ebooks, audiobooks, and digital magazines. There is plenty of comfortable seating, a little cafe with ice cream cones, and a $1 book sale area. The staff are incredible, super helpful, friendly, and nice. It is always so clean. The library looks forward to helping people find books, information, and ideas.
