Wow! The Bangor Public Library is absolutely beautiful! There was such a wide selection, places to print, and space to just hang out. There were so many nice spaces to sit, tables to sprawl out on, and a little cafe even! I couldn’t believe there were instruments, magazines, art supplies, games, and more available for check out. It was super easy to open a library card, all I needed was my license.

Amazing staff, always helpful and friendly! The team at this library clearly cares about their staff and the patrons. I love the way they are able to engage with the community, hosting events and programs that draw us in. I've been going to this library for 30+ years and I always discover something new. Excellent place to spend a day.

This used to be a good place to go to but recently anytime I go and Charlene is there, it becomes a very hostile place. I've tried to bring it up to management and the response was to basically get over it and just accept that she's rude.

I always have loved going to this library since I was a child. They have a good selection of books for any type of reader, printing for those without a printer otherwise, and computers available or free wifi for your own device.

Why did someone from Boston have the Bangor Library on the "must see" list while in Bangor for two nights? After searching online for things out of the ordinary, I learned that Hannibal Hamlin's "death couch" is in the library.I also learned that he was Lincoln's first VP???!!! Who knew? Whatever you do, don't sit on the couch!!!Look up at the ceiling, the architecture is amazing

Incredible library with a phenomenal selection in the stacks. The children’s room is a great place to hang out with littles. Only wish is that we had more of a digital audiobook selection.

This place is basically a homeless shelter. I went there one time to study and saw paramedics revive an overdose victim. Then I walked in on a homeless guy masturbating in the restroom. Other reviews must be pre- Covid.

Great spot to read or hang out. Large selection with updated self checkouts and an art gallery. Nice views.

It's a nice building with historic value and of course all the typical resources a public library offers. I like that they are linked with other libraries in the state, it means when I ask for something more obscure or academic I am likely to be able to get it.
