Bass Harbor Campground is a quiet, cozy place perfect for enjoying Acadia National Park. It is conveniently located, about a mile from Acadia hiking and a half mile from the Bass Harbor Light house, and surrounded by typical Maine fisherman villages. The sites have shade trees and fire rings, with options for full hook ups. Some note the sites are on the smaller side and close together. The campground is well-equipped with clean bathrooms and showers, an outdoor heated pool, and other family amenities. The staff is consistently described as very friendly, pleasant, kind, and helpful. Many guests return annually, finding it a great place to stay while exploring the park and its surrounding trails.
