The Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum offers a super interesting and educational experience with fantastic guided tours. Docents are great, very knowledgeable story tellers who are passionate and personable. Tours are fascinating and well done, providing a much better understanding of the man, his family, his service, and the history of the house itself. The experience is highly recommended for people interested in history. There is a gift shop on site. Guided tours are offered on a seasonal schedule, with private tours available by appointment during the off-season.
