Constructive feedback: Customer service has to get better. I was not informed about the cruise ride when I bought my admission tickets at the front desk. Rather than that, great place to study and learn more about the maritime history of Maine.

What a hidden gem! We’ve lived in Maine for years, but only visited this wonderful museum now. It is filled with fascinating exhibits about Maine’s shipbuilding past. And be sure to take the cruise; in just an hour, we saw river lighthouses, a navy ship that is invisible to radar, and a bald eagle. Highly recommended!

We took a river boat tour, cost included admission to the museum. The boat tour was great. Our tour guide and crew were very friendly and informative. The museum is spread out across a fairly large campus. There were a lot of interesting exhibits. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the Bath area.
Located on a 20-acre waterfront campus in historic Bath, Maine, Maine Maritime Museum is open year round. May through October, enjoy lighthouse cruises and sails aboard our 1906 schooner Mary E. The BIW Story trolley tour provides an exclusive look at modern-day shipbuilding for the US Navy. Explore the historic Percy & Small Shipyard, learn about lobstering, see a blacksmith at work in his shop, and see boatbuilders at work in the Boatshop. Lots of hands-on activities for kids, including a Pirate Playship! There's so much to see, admission is good for two days. See why USA Today named Maine Maritime Museum the "Best Museum in Maine!"
