Inn by the Sea is a beautiful and spacious resort that offers a relaxing and enjoyable experience for guests. The property features large rooms with gorgeous bathrooms, kitchens, and stunning views, often overlooking a beautiful reserve or the ocean. Guests appreciate the friendly and attentive staff, who provide excellent service at the front desk, bistro, and other areas of the hotel. The on-site restaurant, Seaglass, offers delicious food and great options for drinks, including local draft beers, though it closes early at 8 pm. The hotel has a calm atmosphere, making it a good place to relax, especially for those traveling with dogs, as it is very dog-friendly with big rooms and complete kitchens. Guests enjoy amenities like the Women's Sanctuary with an 8-point shower, available toiletries, and a basket of useful items like blow dryers and toothbrushes. The hotel also provides outdoor activities such as picnics and smores by the fire on the lawn, and the beach is just a short 7-minute walk through a beautiful reserve. The outdoor space is landscaped nicely, although the pool and pool area are small, and there are limited service options at the bar. Mosquitoes can be a nuisance in August, and cabanas are not located by the pool or beach. Overall, Inn by the Sea is praised for its friendly staff, beautiful rooms, and relaxing environment, with many guests eager to return. However, some wish for more amenities such as a larger pool, more bar service, and better entertainment options like Netflix or phone projection.
Had the pleasure of staying here twice, both times it was peaceful. Taking a walk on the beach in Winter is awesome. The Spa was amazing too.

One of our favorite places in Maine for a staycation! Love the beach suite and how roomy it is. Make sure to get the French fries at the restaurant too!

We were fortunate to spend some time at Inn By The Sea during the holiday season. This is my preferred accommodation when we visit relatives in Maine. The staff is incredibly warm and helpful.
