“We were not guests, but we stopped by the Inn because my friend had slipped on the rocks at the beach and needed a bandaid—Sydney at the front desk was SO sweet to let us use the restroom so my friend could clean her cut, and Sydney provided us with several bandaids and antibiotic wipes. Plus, Sydney’s hair was gorgeous. Five stars!”

“What an amazing place.! Food was great and the dog menu was a pleasant surprise. Thank you Eva for the most excellent attention and customer service! Our room had a great view and was above and beyond our expectations. Bed was comfy and the bathroom was like a spa experience. The walk down to the beach was lovely and the whole place was so dog friendly.”

“We had such a delightful stay at the West End Collection! Our room was comfortable and cozy, and we especially loved the seating area in it. The made to order breakfast was delicious every morning, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The study on the opposite side of the hall had a wonderful moody atmosphere and we loved reading there at night. This was a very tranquil and comfortable place to stay, about a 20 minute walk to downtown. We will definitely be staying here again.”

“We spent the evening up on the rooftop bar at the Canopy Portland, and it was incredible. The views alone are worth the visit sweeping, open, and the perfect backdrop for a relaxed night out. The snacks were delicious, especially the everything fries, which were unexpected in the best way. The potato croquettes were crisp, creamy, and absolutely fantastic. Every drink we tried was bright, refreshing, and perfectly made. Already looking forward to our next visit this place is an easy favorite.”

“If you are traveling to Portland, Freeport, or anywhere really in Southern Maine, or even Mount Washington in New Hampshire, I cannot recommend or encourage you strongly enough to consider a stay at the Pine Crest Inn, a bed and breakfast, in Gorham, Maine. You will have 5 star lodging at prices much better than Portland hotels. And there no place in Maine where you will find cleaner facilities, softer sheets, or a better breakfast.

We stayed at the Pine Crest for 5 nights. We never had a repeat for breakfast. And this was not your standard 2 eggs and 2 strips of bacon kind of breakfast. These are gourmet presentations! Kathy, your hostess, chef, and innkeeper can accomodate any dietary needs you may have, however. Gluten free, vegan, etc…trust me—you’ll be begging her to be your personal chef before you leave.

From Gorham, we visited Freeport, Cape Elizabeth, Two Lights State Park, Old Portland Head Light, the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, and Kennebunkport. We were roughly an hour from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and about the same distance to Boston. Kathy knows the area very well, and can give you endless suggestions.

We traveled to Maine for my 60th birthday. The entire trip was arranged by my husband with assistance from Kathy. Lovely touches abounded as we arrived, including beautiful birthday flowers in our room. I just cannot say enough about this inn. Each room, and the whole facility, is so well appointed. I consider myself to be kind of a hotel snob, and this place was perfect. If I could find anything to caution potential visitors about, I would. There’s just nothing I could find that wasn’t perfect. There is a common area with a refrigerator with drinks stocked, and another one if you have something you need stored (leftovers, snacks, etc…). There is water, ice, a microwave, an assortment of teas, and an electric kettle, glassware and cups all available to you.

She even inquired in advance about what thickness of pillows we preferred.

I just wish I could find such accommodations everywhere I travel!

Thank you, Kathy, for making us feel so pampered and special!!!”

“Beautiful, newly renovated hotel. My suite was very clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was great. I especially liked that they had gluten free bagels, gluten free blueberry muffins, almond milk and oat milk. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.”

“We had a great stay. Very accommodating and friendly staff, tasty breakfast, and awesome location. Very walkable to great restaurants, bars, breweries, shops, and the ferry. Will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Portland.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed my staycation at the Longfellow last month. We stayed in a dog-friendly room, which I’m sure is a great perk for out-of-town visitors but we found especially convenient as an in town guest. It’s walking distance to the state theater and a bunch of great restaurants but shout out to the cafe and the lovely lobby bar. Our nightcap turned into two - delish and unique craft cocktails.
Run don’t walk to the attached spa, Astrea! Stone massage and couples sauna, yes please! And thank you!”

“Wonderful staff. Waited nearly two hours for the next ferry and had a great time enjoying the pub. Thanks Orlando & team! Appetizers and chowder were lovely. 3min walk from the ferry dock (as well as golf cart rentals).”

“I attended a Birthday Celebration on 6/20/2026 for a family member. Staff were polite, courteous and professional. Food was delicious! I highly recommend this Hitel.”

“Excellent location because it is a short walk to the beach. Room was clean and cute, but very simple and not spacious. Breakfast is sort of included at their restaurant—they give you a voucher for so much per person. Food was ok with a few standard options. Maybe it was just our room, but we were awakened to a door banging and what sounded like staff hauling supplies into the hotel. There had been similar noise the night before right up to the 10pm “noise curfew”. Between times it was very quiet though.”

“It was a nice hotel, clean rooms, clean beds at a decent price. They had a nice little breakfast in the morning, not just cereal muffins but they had a nice little selection of eggs and bacon and breads.”

“Our stay at Black Point Inn was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. The inn itself is full of charm and history, with stunning views that make it the perfect coastal getaway. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had all the little touches that made it feel special. Dining on the terrace was a highlight—the food was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. Between the gorgeous setting, warm hospitality, and relaxing atmosphere, I can’t recommend Black Point Inn enough. Perfect enough that we have returned three years in a row!”

“I will be honest - I haven’t stayed here - but the hotel management deserves 5 stars for impeccable service and helping me after I made a booking mistake and didn’t realize it until the night of my stay. Thank you for helping me and providing excellent service! Next time I’m in Portland, I’ll be staying at the AC!!”

“This hotel is wonderful. They are so accommodating and kind. Rachel at the front desk helped us feel extra special for a girls trip with sparkling wine sent to the room and moved us to a bigger room. Hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Can't wait to come back!”

“Percy Inn was so cute and a wonderful stay while in Portland. It was within walking distance of many restaurants and bars and made it easy to navigate the city. We stayed in the Walt Whitman room and it was adorable and comfortable. The stairs were a little precarious but nothing crazy.”

“AMANDA WAS AMAZING!!!! Amanda, truly, you made both me and my partners night. We had a nightmare Airbnb, and somehow she was able to turn a horrible night into such a wonderful smile filled night. Thank you, genuinely from the bottom of our hearts. She did everything she could to make sure we were able to stay in the last room available as affordable and comfortable as possible given our experience. Amanda, you are literally so funny, sweet, and genuine!!!! Thank you so much ?”

“5 star reviews all well deserved. This is a well run hotel. Great reception folks, everything works in the room. Bed nice, huge TV, hot water, very clean and modern. No noise although was slow in hotel.
Excellent breakfast. Jose who was managing breakfast did a great job.
Location good also. We did not need shuttle.
Thanks folks!”

“Within minutes to airport, staff was very friendly and will go out of there way to make sure you have what you need for your stay. The shuttle is very convenient and casual bar and dinner spot in hotel, with so many restaurants and the Maine mall within minutes away.”

“This hotel is our go to place to stay while in Portland. The service is always perfect. The restaurant you can always count on. A perfect place to stay and eat while on the road.”

“Had a nice stay. The only thing I don't get is the thing they serve the breakfast items in. It's incredibly awkward and a lot of food winds up on the floor.”

3.4 Good151 Reviews

“Nothing special but a clean, convenient hotel. Staff was pleasant. We did not visit either restaurant but the menus looked good. Right near Maine Turnpike, so it accessible to all Portland has to offer.”

“Very cheap, very quiet, hardly any other people in the rooms. Has a good parking lot for uber/door dash. Next to a bistro and Rec weed shop. And if you walk down Brighton Ave, turn right onto Rowe street and on the left at the end is a trail that leads on the right towards the jet port and maine mall direction.
Its a hidden GEM probably overlooked often. They let me check in early too, leave my bags. Strongly recommend.”
