About Maine Veterans' Homes - Caribou
Maine Veterans’ Homes (MVH) is a non-profit, award-winning senior services healthcare provider dedicated to offering exceptional care and comfort to Maine’s veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star parents. Operating six homes throughout the state—in Augusta, Bangor, Caribou, Machias, Scarborough, and South Paris—MVH was established by the Maine Legislature in 1977 to serve veterans and eligible family members. Today, it remains an independent organization steadfast in its mission of “caring for those who served”.

I love this organization. Many may not know, but Maine has the 3rd highest per capita population of veterans in the country. Organizations like this help take care of those who served us. Thank you and keep up the great work.

My mother has been residing in the MVH Caribou facility for just over two years. The staff is second to none and administrators are helpful with the business end of mom’s stay. At almost 92 years old she is living her best life!

My Mom was cared for at the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou, Maine. She received the best possible treatment from all staff and I felt completely comfortable she was well cared for throughout her stay. Since her passing, I highly recommend the Maine Veterans Home to my friends and family.
