“It’s a good thing I found this place on a whim. Otherwise, I would’ve missed it with all the traffic and other distractions one would usually face on Route 1 (at least during the summer). We were warmly greeted by Mary and discussed the past of Stockton Springs as well as maritime-related matters that are historic to this particular region of Maine. Her dog also greeted us too! With that being said, I will be returning to browse under the beautiful figurehead and purchase more books for my nautical collection.”

“Books are well organized and there were several antiques nestled among them. Somehow, it is beautiful and relaxing. I was just browsing but it was such a unique setting. A gentleman was reading aloud when I entered and I liked that too.”
