“This was my first experience buying a custom fitted suit, and the results were perfect. On my initial visit to the store, I was measured and given a close template suit to try on, which as evaluated for modifications for my specific body type and posture. I was shown a wide variety of fabric styles, patterns and colors to chose from, and 6 weeks later, it had arrived in the shop, ready for a fitting. There were a couple final adjustments needed for the pants, which were completed in 30 minutes, and I had my new suit. I was so happy with it that I immediately ordered a second one in a different color. Doing some basic internet and YouTube research on the process, time frame and pricing, I knew what to expect - and was not surprised or disappointed. The shop itself is a family owned, family run business, and a long time fixture of downtown Portland. I chose to try it out based on these reviews, so I’m happy to add mine to the list of satisfied customers.”

“My wife and I travel annually to Maine and I always make time to stop in this particular store. Their curated selection of men’s clothing is second to none. The attention to detail and the responsiveness of the staff is always refreshing. As an example from my most recent trip: I found a shirt I loved and one of the staff noticed that it was slightly too long. Without hesitation they offered to alter the garment and even to ship it to me since I lived out of state.

This kind of service will keep me coming back and purchasing items for as long as I visit Portland. My only regret is that they don’t have more stores nationwide - but the fact that there is only one store is likely what makes it that much more special. The staff were friendly, easy to talk to and knowledgeable. They made great recommendations as to styling. “I tried so hard to get the numbers they wanted.. but I couldn’t keep up, when I didn’t pee or drink water, and was hyper focused ? I couldn’t do this 5 days a week. I’d get worn out. I’m so sad, as I loved my coworkers. I guess I was just too slow? Apparently everyone else was faster than me? But, I’m so fast? So, I’m just in shock? I think I just struggled with remembering to make sure the windows computer was in the right mode, that stopped it from thinking I had finished a tote? We have to switch between single orders and multi orders.. things need to be very specific, or it will think you spent 17 minutes on one tote? (Which happened to me multiple times within a month) I think I can complete any tote within 1-4 minutes depending on the tote.

Anyways. I’ll miss everyone. They were the best! If you have a sharp short term memory, or you’re good with old windows programs, and can move fast via cardio… it’s a fun job IMO ;) More importantly.. the people are some of the nicest people Ive ever met. It felt like a family, until today. Of course I still care about all of them. I’ll just never see any of them again. All I can do, is know I gave it my best, and my best apparently wasn’t close?‍♂️❤️✌️?? Kind of relieved in a way? I think my heart was running at max when I got the numbers they wanted. So, if I had kept it up? Who knows? Maybe I truly lucked out? Goodbye to all those Amazing people❤️✌️ Maybe I’ll try to come back? I can’t predict life?‍♂️✌️✌️????????❤️”

Their staff is highly attentive to fit and extraordinarily helpful. “This place has the coolest selection of shirts! All of the shirts are nature themed and the illustrations are really well designed. These shirts really stand out and I think they would make for a great souvenir while visiting Maine. The shirts are made in the US and I believe the company is employee-owned, which is a huge bonus. The shirts are exceptionally well made for the money. There are tons of options in terms of design and sizing. They have t-shirts and long sleeve, I also saw kids sizes and onesies for kids. The salesperson was very sweet and helpful. The store is laid out very well and it's easy to grab the shirt you need in whatever size you're looking for. I had followed them on Instagram for a long time and kept meaning to buy a shirt, but then we happened to be in Portland where the store is located so it was really cool to stop in and shop in person. This is a great place to find a gift for someone or get a souvenir for yourself.”

“This is a British clothing company with many locations in the US. At this point a significant percentage of the clothes I wear were purchased here. So, you can say I have been satisfied enough to return as a customer, repeatedly.
I find the clothes to be of durable quality. Style is classic enough to be worn for more than one season and not feel out-of-style by the next year.
Sizing is more true-to-size than most American brands. Even accounting for this, I feel t-shirts and Henley style shirts (for men) are tailored for a closer-to-the body fit.
The Portland, ME store has hired a great staff. Friendly, helpful, professional.”

“Large variety of sizes! I was looking for a gift for my nephew and was helped by one of the girls. The mens tend to run a size larger. My nephew ended up loving the hoodie we got him and the fit was great!”

“Really kind & understanding workers, with amazing merchandising displays and setups!! The sale section is way in the back - located in the historical bank's vault. It's really cool seeing the vault door/lock and all the old bank elements. The fitting room is unisex, but spacious & private. I really love the vintage/historical feel that's maintained with all the modern/grungy touches Urban adds!
I really wish they would add some Urban Outfitter's Bedding/Sheet sets in-store! Thought they had a dedicated home goods section for some reason. Their duvet sets are popular & often sell out online because they have such unique designs. Parking is not bad at all on the small side streets - you might have to cross the street/block though.”

“My name is Amanda. Im a 57 year old young women, and what I have just experienced at y’all’s so called establishment is unforgettable, unforgivable, and unspindled. I went with my 10 YEAR OLD Faith. First off, I couldn’t even find the Sephora! I walked for HOURS inside the Kohls. It STUNK inside. And my shin was throbbing in the most utmost pain after getting knee surgery. I had to walk so much! And my poor sweet baby of Jesus child, Faith, she was in distress. She has declaring to get the new Drunk Elephant bronzi drops. Anything for my baby, even if it means spending all my life savings for all her products. After many hours, helpless frolicking in sorrow, I finally decided to ask a staff member for help. I cannot believe they didn’t see me limping in pain and a confused grin on my face. Not to mention Faith, who was gripping her Lululemon fanny pack in complete anguish. After screaming at this young man for not noticing, I was met with groundbreaking news. The Sephora was outside and not in Kohls. This horrific costumer service and completely misleading name made me completely fathomed. How could they treat me, a paying, respectful, container, and a well-respected and well-functioning citizen be completely manipulated and abused! I stomped away and clenched my fists, while Faith was in distress begging for the the drunk elephant. She couldn’t wait ANY longer, she was just about to rip her hair out!! I am a horrible mother! How could I treat her like this! After the long, dreading, walk to the exit, I quickly fixed my bleached bob to prepare for this next atrocity. After walking briefly to the Sephora next door I was in a trance. I ripped open the door. I roared at the top of my lungs gripping faith while tears fell from her precious, innocent, due to her having to wait excruciatingly every second for her sacred drunk elephant. I roared, WHERE IS YALLS THE DRUNK ELEPHANT BRONZI DROPS. These staff members approached me in a bratty strut, to break my sweet baby heart, by saying they were out of the drunk elephant by other preppy teens. Faith broke down. She sobbed into the dirty Sephora while saying her life is over. I AM NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS COMPANY EVER. FAITH WILL NEVER RECOVER FROM THIS TRAUMATIC EVENT. GOODBYE FOREVER.”
