The L.L.Bean Employee Store is a Maine icon and a staple for outdoor activity loving folks, often described as an adult playground. It is a majestic, brilliantly large flagship store worth a special trip, functioning as a must-visit destination. The campus is quite large, featuring a separate home store with linens and goodies, and an outlet store with great deals. They sell almost everything, including clothing for men, women, and kids, with excellent selections like tall sizes and men's dress shirts. They also have extensive hunting and camping accessories, showcased in an impressive Maine cabin theme entrance. While some feel the quality has gone down and items can be pricey, many find the products well-made and worth every penny, noting that some of their stuff is still excellent. The famous return policy has changed. The customer service, however, is consistently highlighted as the best, with employees being very friendly, helpful, and polite, always offering a helping hand. The store has a magical, fun atmosphere, especially during Christmas with a beautifully done winter wonderland display. It is undergoing significant renovations, which will continue until 2025, and the small cafe is currently closed. Overall, it provides a great experience where people often end up purchasing something and look forward to their next visit.
O, the old E-store, which by my account, Can quietly rack up quite the amount. So much to see, and so little time, How much does that boot cost? A dime!? Hard to make, easy to spend, Watch as your Bean Bucks drain to an end.
