“We visited the store in September 2025. Everyone was so kind and friendly and there were so many beautiful pottery pieces to choose from. We placed a custom order for a special shaped garlic jar and it arrived today. Wow! It was definitely worth the wait! It’s perfect and so beautiful! My daughter will love it!”
“I work from the town and have to take care of the grounds. Though its empty during the winter they have art on display during the summer months. 1 and 1/2 thumbs up with a cup of ramen.”
“Jan is there to greet and chat with you. Wonderful watercolors, paintings, giclees, and prints of island scenes, Lupines, etc. It's so hard to choose just one! Just lovely!!”
“I stumbled across this gallery while doing a walking/food tour of BoothBay. John and Lynne don’t know this, but their gallery was the highlight of my trip. I had such a lovely experience here, I even shed a tear or two walking around looking at their work and listening to music in my headphones. The work is so nostalgic and reminded me of so many memories and moments. I met them both while walking around the gallery and they were both so friendly and kind. If you’re in BoothBay please stop by here, I’m so glad I did. Thank you both for your commitment and love to your craft.”
“What a lovely shop! As we entered, Rick, the kind shopkeeper, said "Are you okay with dogs?" And we said "Sure! Are you okay with kids?" He was, and he let the three kids pet Digger, his dog, while my sister and I looked around at all the paintings, prints, jewelry, and sculptures by different artists. We bought three beautiful glass buoys to hang in our windows. Thank you for such a friendly, welcoming experience! You run a beautiful, sunny little gallery and we'll be back again someday.”
“I highly recommend Artsake. I brought 2 pieces in to be worked on and the level of detail and care spent on each far exceeded my expectations. They provided a variety of options at different price points, got both done quickly and were as nice as could be to deal with, all for a very fair price.”

“This is one of the best art galleries in Maine because it continues to offer outstanding shows each month that are juried by quality art experts. The art works selected are hung by folks who have experience in professional art settings and have a great eye for creating beautiful exhibits. Artists who exhibit at River Arts are welcomed by a friendly staff and enjoy the great openings each month. A special place!”
“Kind and knowledgeable, with a wonderful collection that should not be missed. We were delighted to come across pieces that not only have incredible provenance, but resonated on a personal level. As new buyers, it was a special way to begin our art collecting journey. We can’t wait to bring these pieces home to London and enjoy them for years to come!”

“Sylvan Gallery is one of my favorite galleries in WIscasset. Several of the artists have won national awards. The contemporary paintings are watercolors, oils and acrylics and are mostly of New England seascapes, landscapes, and still life. The talent represented here is incredible.”
“Purchased a 18K gold, Maine green tourmaline ring made by Karen some years ago. I dream of beautiful Maine and Karen and John when I wear it.
Everything the gallery offers from jewelry to fine art is wonderful.
We stop by every time we travel to my favorite state.”
“Gleason Fine Art in Boothbay Harbor is a standout destination for lovers of Maine’s visual heritage. Housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century farmhouse at 31 Townsend Avenue, the gallery has been a fixture since its opening in 1985 by Dennis and Martha Gleason”
“Terrill and Charlie were so kind to our homeschool group as they gave us a tour of their studio and explained the art of glass blowing to the kids. Both the kids (and us parents!) were amazed at the process. Each finished piece was so unique. We enjoyed looking at all the details and deciding which colors were our favorite! Overall, a very fun and educational field trip! Would highly recommend seeing this unique and mesmerizing process in person!”
