“One of the 2 best galleries in Portland, work a wide variety of high-quality artwork. It is mostly contemporary, and mostly 2-D but with some artistic furniture and other 3-D works. Friendly, well-informed staff. Well worth the visit for art lovers.”
“I've been to the store in Portland, and I've ordered a piece online. Both experiences were very pleasant. In the store, even though I didn't buy anything at the time (I didn't want it to break on the plane ride home), the woman who showed me around took the time to answer all of my questions. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the different types of pottery, even explaining one particular glazing process in minute detail. The collections were varied, and all were beautiful in different ways. Months later, I went to their website and purchased one of the pieces I'd admired in the store. The piece arrived quickly, packed very carefully with detailed care instructions. It looked even better than I remembered, and it made a lovely gift for a dear friend of mine. I can't wait to visit the store again when I return to Portland this summer.”
“We were visiting Portland from New York and were attracted by the display in the store - beautifully crafted painted ceramic plates. We love the details on them - the owner Zafer was a lovely man who walked us through how the ceramic plates are created. We acquired two pieces and he even helped carry the carefully boxed pieces and walked us back to our hotel!
We now have them on our dining room wall and they are simply exquisite! ❤️❤️❤️”

“I saw a metal sculpture on their website that was out of stock. I contacted the stores directly to see if they had any in stock, I wanted to purchase 2 for Christmas gifts. Nicholas from the Portland location, assisted me and he was wonderful! They didn’t have any in stock but he offered to contact the company to order it for me. Nicholas ordered them and he shipped them to me so I could have them in time for Christmas. Incredible customer service by the staff, I also talked to others employed at this location. I cannot say enough about Abacus Gallery! Thank you for helping me get one
