“Recently brought some second hand books in English while living in France. Found the receipt from 2001! Looks like the original owner only got to page 71 but I guess I have an original bookmark to finish this John Irving novel”
“My favorite bookstore! Even if you don’t find the book you want, they will order it and you’ll have it in a day or two. There is absolutely no reason to buy books on Amazon, especially when you have such a great neighborhood business.”

“Amazing store. Lots of obscure books here and deep dives into certain genres and topics. Owner is a wealth of information, pleasant &professional. Exactly what a bookstore should be.”
“Absolutely darling bookstore with some of the sweetest staff I’ve ever met. I love that place is volunteer run and all the proceeds go to benefit the library!”

“I like it here! The seasonal window displays are always a lot of fun to see. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I got my copy of Zoologist's guide to the galaxy here, specially ordered. Lots of local publishers, and stock is always rotating, there is something new and interesting every time.”
“Went in today on a whim and became our new favorite bookstore! Found some books I haven’t found in other stores, and has a large Maine book section which is really interesting! I’m assuming the man working is the owner, and he is very knowledgeable and fun to talk to! We will be back!”
“This is the cutest little book shop and they have such a wide selection to choose from!!! From children's to classics to romance to non-fiction to Portland-focused historical/geographical books, any reader could find joy in the pages fostered within these walls. Not to mention - there are trinkets, gifts, utensils, and treats galore! The staff was also super nice and helpful, which always makes a big difference. We've only been visiting the Portland area for a couple weeks and we've already been there 3 times, and we'd love to go back again!”
“This book store doesn't look like much, but if you enjoy random second-hand books, this is your place. Most of the books are older, so if you're looking for something in the last year or few, you *probably* won't find it. The prices on mass published paperbacks are generally $2 each. Many books have the prices written on the inside. There is a selection of VERY old books, but be prepared for the much higher price tag.”
