I have been with several ISPs and this one is towards the bottom of service. We are actually stuck with them as our only ISP for the Haven at Brunswick apartments, as the buildings are set up in such a way we cannot get any other. The bright side is that there is no router to buy or rent. However you better hope your network ports inside the walls work. That aside over the last year of living here we have had no less that 5 outages that lasted a period of more than 4 hours. Some going overnight and into the next day. When calling you are likely going to a 3rd party call center and ticketing system with very basic IT support. And they will make a ticket for which there is no ability to know the progress of. In one rare care we had a technician actually call us. The rest of the time the internet was fixed some unknown amount of time later. If I had any other choice I would take it, mostly due to this lack of communication and service techs who are able to work at any odd hours in non hazardous conditions. Worst yet I feel there will be no improvement on these issues. This review will stay until we see some major efforts to see progress and etas on the ticketing system like any sensible company.

We have had Outer Reach Broadband for some time now and are very happy with the speed and service. When there is any outage, they will alert you and they are easily accessible by phone. Great company, highly recommend.

As a small business owner in the Katahdin Region that depends on reliable internet, Outer Reach Broadband has proved to be an effective and economical choice. Five Stars for their Customer Service.Recently I had some electrical work done at my shop and needed to cut the power to my router. Within minutes, an ORB representative was calling me to check and see if there was an issue with my service. They're linked in, assessing service functionality to minimize disruptions. I've been impressed since I subscribed. Finally, broadband at a reasonable price in the Katahdin Region! Well done Outer Reach Broadband!

I am very pleased with this internet company. The crew was very informative on what I am now getting for speeds, and were able to install the equipment pretty quickly. As soon as I got online I was amazed at how much faster this service was. I would highly recommend this company.

We have switched over to Outer Reach Broadband about 2 months ago. So happy with this service. It's so much faster. Love it.

We had service from Outer Reach Broadband installed on the east side of long lake in march. They have provided stellar service and communication. The installation date was scheduled but unfortunately on that day I had a situation arise that prevented me from heading north. I contacted Tom and without any hassle he rescheduled the appointment without any additional cost. I highly recommend this company.

I am a BETA customer in Millinocket and all I can say is WOW! The fast speed of the broadband service and price point is a game changer for my family. I am fussy about wires on my building and the install team did an amazing job concealing them so well that they even impressed me which is not always easy to do. Highly recommend Outer Reach Broadband!

We are on the East side of Long Lake and were among the earliest installations in the late fall. Beyond a slight delay due to the initial setup from the tower (which was a one-time issue) they have been easy to deal with and the install was smooth. I can be on my VPN and work MUCH more effectively than I could with HughesNet, and for me, we have been paying for HughesNet for internet and Dish for cable (which I probably would have dropped), and I can now drop both of those and use my streaming services from home on this internet (Netflix, YouTube TV, Disney, Hulu all work fine). So it’s much faster more reliable internet at a fraction of the overall cost, especially if this is a second home and you are already paying for streaming services.

The internet service just came out of the beta testing stage so any problems have been corrected per my understanding. 12 of my neighbors have the internet service up and running and they are very, very happy with the service. I am in the process of getting my service installed. It sure beats Fairpoint or Hughes Satellite Internet, which are sooooo slow. Like all internet services, there will be drops in service for a minute or two here or there. So let's not get bent out of shape. Outer Reach is a god send compared what we have had in the past! My phone call requesting service installation was returned by the President of the Outer Reach, Tom Kirby. So, how about that for service!

this company is a joke. they are on open during regular work days when the rest of the world is at work. their 24 hour line is completely useless. I have been locked out of my account and which means I cant change my debit card that expired. So they shut off my internet because its past due. they cant help me get back in and all they say is we will leave a message and have them call you asap. well asap is usually around 11 to 12 in the afternoon while everyone is working. I would of gone with another company by now but unfortunately this is the only company i can use at my apartment.

Hi there all. I have been searching for a good internet provider for quite some time now. My needs require a fast reliable internet connection as I am a physician and frequently have to download MRI, CT US and alike. I have tried DSL but the phone lies are old and staticky, Hugh’s net is expensive and very weather dependent and the state doesn’t really care about rural areas. They say one thing and do nothing. They as well as the towns of Bridgton, Naples and Harrison have analysis paralysis. In short I signed up with out reach broadband as a beta sight. I live at the Naples Harrison line. I signed up as a beta sight and I am pleased to say the service is fast, reliable and very reasonably priced. I would strongly recommend this organization if available in your area.

Speeds and uptime have been unmatched by other providers I’ve tried. I have not had to use customer support as I’ve had no issues but the sales and install process was easy and everyone was very helpful. Been on the network for about 7 months or so.

Internet died at 7am this morning. Now 7pm and after five calls no update on the situation or the fix. Not clear that there has been any response at all. Entire neighborhood affected. For an ISP there is no I, no S, and no P. So what are they doing?!
