Hours: Mountainview Resort is a unique and beautiful resort nestled in the heart of the Moose River Valley and surrounded by a gorgeous mountain range. The lodge is nice, cozy, and very welcoming. The resort offers an indoor heated pool, an outdoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna, a fitness center, and common areas with a pool table, fireplace, TV sitting area, and a reading nook. They also have five cabins on the property. The location is great for outdoor activities, with local snowmobile and ATV rentals, canoe and row boat rentals, and white water rafting nearby. It is right on the main snowmobile trail. The resort receives mixed feedback on its accommodations. Many guests describe a great time, noting the facilities are very well maintained, clean, and a nice place with friendly and helpful staff. The pools, hot tub, and amenities are highlighted as nice and an incredible value. Some cabins are described as beautiful, excellently located, clean, and comfortable, with amazing views and everything needed for a stay. However, other cabin experiences are negative, with reports of poorly maintained cabins, uncomfortable furniture, and insufficient amenities for the number of guests advertised. Some furnishings and the TV are noted as dated or low quality. The resort's mountain location means driving can be sketchy in winter, requiring four-wheel drive. While close to outdoor amenities, walkability to town is not possible. Some guests mention heightened police presence in the area for outsiders.
