“I just happened to wander into the Machias, Maine., Dollar General store tonight. I was looking for gifts. Im a man., i really am not great at picking out gifts., I am also nervous in stores as I have p.t.s.d. My stress and frustration were starting to get the best of me., and then the coolest, most calming store clerk I have ever had the pleasure to encounter., politely asked me if I needed some advice. I am blown away by this excellent Dollar General staff member. Her name is Katie Lee. She is an awesome person. I will do all of my shopping in the future with the Machias Dollar General. I do not want to take away from the other employees that work at that location. I am actually looking forward to my next trip to the store !”

“Glad the snacks are here. Wish there were more “dollar tree”items. A lot was lost when the stores merged. And why $1.25? $1.00 was just fine. Inflation is just an excuse for the quality of these items. They aren’t worth more than a dollar…glad it’s here tho”
