Very unique pieces of arts. Good place for tourists to visit, but be careful with young children as everything in the store is fragile.

This place is absolutely amazing. Wide array of unique items to the area and local artists. We were visiting from far out of town and despite my concerns of shipping an art piece, they were able to provide a reasonable rate and pack up my item in a way that it could've survived the apocalypse. It was thoughtfully prepared and made it home onto our shelf on the day we returned home.
Lovely people, lovely shop, lovely artwork. We will certainly be returning and bringing our pug, Wilson, with us as he loved the staff (they gave him many treats and were very welcoming to my wife and I as we came in).

Outstanding collection of art, mementos and high quality aesthetic items. We bought 2 fairly inexpensive gifts for friends and we were really happy with them.

You delight! Abicus in Ogunquit is special as you look from outside. When you enter and see the way they treat each time as special with great museum"esk" display. It's FUN! Hope you go and grab some great art and one of a kind gifts! Your home needs a memory from here so buy it???

One of our favorite stops in Maine. They always have a broad range of items, both affordable and approachable. Staff is always helpful.

We walked into Abacus. Two women behind the counter totally ignored our presence. Ok. No big deal. After walking around and looking at the display cases, we saw notes everywhere directed at customers, with instructions on what you shouldn't touch, or do. They were not polite. Maybe the owner was a grammar school teacher forgetting that customers are adults? One note stuck out. It read "Reading glasses are not toys, do not touch" ...really? huh, um, duh... My daughter found a pair of earrings she loved and wanted to purchase. We decided we could not buy them there and could and did find them online elsewhere. Warning: Please only shop here if you are well-behaved. Otherwise, you may get a note sent home with you. And just take a look at the other review, you'd think that Abacus would have gotten the message.

Some gorgeous and unique art in all mediums with reasonable prices. I went for the metal art and ended up bringing home the cutest metal cat. They even had a 6 foot giraffe that I would have loved to own. Beautiful glass boxes that are perfect for gifts along with ceramics, jewelry, gorgeous blow glass and so much more.

Went in at around 3:00 on June 3rd. Walked in with a coffee in our hands... missed the sign that says no food or drinks. The lady got into our face and didn't say "welcome, cab you please leave your drinks here". She just jumped on us and we weren't sure if she wanted our bags or what.... Rudest snottiest people ever!!! I get it, we all miss the sign. We don't work there, we don't see it. Move it or make it larger.... She was so rude! Like she had anything else to do but sit there in the Empty, boring, over priced store. As we were leaving she handed us our coffee.... And grabbed the windex in her hand and started spraying frantically as if we were 4 years old... there was nothing to wipe,. She was just being a miserable beeawtch. Then... she said something to her co-worker about us.. then he looked at us and said "deja vu" when we walked out because we didn't see the no coffee sign. How about "welcome to our store, please your coffee here". I've worked in retail, I get it. But, can you talk s*** after people leave? Such a welcoming community. We came from NH for a 3 days getaway. Those two sorta ruined it for me. Rainbow crosswalks, encouraging of all.... Then this! This girl who works there, she needs a vacation or a better life. She's a miserable human and I felt it. The aura in that store was depressing, cold and oh so unwelcoming. As I read the reviews I'm not the only one. If you look through my reviews you don't see many negative ones. I just couldn't let this one go. One star because the guy was definitely only reacting to her. He isn't naturally rude. She is just a cancer. Never again & next!!
