“Awesome place! Mostly used books in great condition usually in the $4-10 range unless brand new and popular. We go here all the time to grab a book for cheap when we're on vacation at OOB. Nice people. Somewhat disorganized but in a charming way.”

“Delightful bookstore with gift items and art supplies also. Truly awesome staff. Eager to help and very polite. Also they seem happy and work well together. The only way this could be improved is with a cat or dog greeting guests.”

“My go-to bookstore! They have a great selection of used & new books, stationary, and more! Plus, they always have Maine and New England books and gifts—which I love! If they don't have what you're looking for in-stock they are always willing to order it for you.”

“If you love old books this is the place for you! They had a huge selection of cookbooks, recipes, old liquor advertising booklets and more. I was interested in the post prohibition liquor advertising booklets and the young women working was so helpful. She pulled out boxes for me to go through and was so knowledgeable! She even recommended rare book fairs in the area which I will be looking into. Thank you for a great experience and being so kind and knowledgeable.”

“What a great name for a bookstore; especially in Portland. I was wandering around the city like a poet looking for a rhyme when I passed rows and rows of books in windows. Will be returning soon for a FULL review and buy some books”

“Love the Bull Moose stores, usually go to the one in Salem New Hampshire but was up in Maine for a quick getaway. Stocked with the newest releases and always some good cheap buys in vinyl and DVDs. Now that Best Buy and Target hardly stock any physical media This is THE Place!”

“Was waiting for a rack to be installed on my jeep so I went over to Books-A-Million, picked up a book by Malcolm Gladwell, sat down in their cafe, had a coffee, wonderful experience.”

“Every time I've bought something here, the staff has been incredibly patient, humorous, and quick (which is an important characteristic to have when one is working a c-store in an airport where people are always go-go-go). This is my usual stop to grab gum before boarding, but there have been times I've swung by for other things (drinks, gifties, random H&B stuff)... Once I needed twelve (of the same) Maine-type things to bring with me to New York. The lady working that day took the time to go over with me everything in the store she thought was appropriate, and everything that was labeled as a "Maine" thing but was really made elsewhere (and her suggestion as to why I should avoid it; gotta love salt of the earth people who defend our humble state like it's the only one that matters). I thought that service very over-the-top nice. Recently, I found a giant bag of Takis for just .49 cents. I was baffled at the low price, so I had to get them (regardless that I would probably only eat three or four). The gentlemen ringing me up warned me against buying them because of how excruciatingly hot they were... he also suggested buying a six pack when I landed to help wash them down. We had a moment then, him and I, laughing about Takis and beer like we had some inside joke and were old friends... something that wouldn't happen at most other airport's c-stores, but in Portland, ME? Commonplace. Can't go wrong with a clean airport store that sells the basic necessities and does so in a personable and timely manner, so CNBC News gets my vote!”

“It's a very nice clean store. Unfortunately, lacking in blu rays for horror but overall a good selection. Friendly service and very helpful. I did like seeing that they had sports cards, funko pops, roll playing games, video games, great selection of music. I definitely recommend checking the store out.”
