(F)- Store resembles a food pantry. (C)- Cashier is very helpful. (A+)- The door leading to the area behind the freezers is located next to a shelf with snack items such as Pringles and Combos on it. “First pizza we got here when I first moved to the area was burnt and not very good… However asking locals they say the best pizza comes from this place so we tried again tonight. We got a basic large pepperoni pizza and a small cheese stuffed bread stick. AMAZING! Not to mention it was $20… Price made it that much better and we will definitely be back again. Charming little store too! Lots of homemade goods ? and great staff.”

“I’ve been going to R & K for years. Not only is it convenient, the staff is great, and the food is very good too. Yesterday I decided to stray away from some of my favorites and let me tell you I wasn’t disappointed. I wish I had taken a picture. I had the breakfast quesadilla with bacon. It was DELICIOUS! It came with sour cream and salsa and the flavor was fantastic. Will definitely be ordering this again and sorry that I’ve been missing out on this until now.”

“This place packs a lot in a small store. Gas is usually one of the best prices around and pumps are 24 hour. FREE AIR! yes folks, one of the few places where you can fill your tires for FREE. Dunkin' with a drive-thru and inside seating. Also a hot deli serving up chicken nuggets, fries, etc. which seems to cater to the lunch crowd as it shuts down in the afternoon. Pretty good deals on pizza. Beverage selection is great, everything from milk to bourbon. Decent selection of grab and go items. Friendly staff.”

“Checked it out for the first time since I moved here and it’s a really cool spot! It’s got your usual assortment of groceries as well as fresh options at their deli :) grabbed one of their pancake breakfast sandwiches when I stopped by and it was just like the McGriddles from McDonald’s. Over all, super cool, clean store and great staff. Will be in there all the time!”

“Deb's Variety truly does offer a variety of goods and services. First of all, the gas prices are very competitive with others in the area. Inside you'll find a wide selection of liquor, cold beer, a decent wine selection, plus your usual corner store beverages. They also have a small automotive section with different oils and car accessories you might need in a pinch. There's a selection of snacks and other grocery items also available. The hot food is also quite good. They have a fantastic deal where you get a 1.25-liter soda with any large pizza. Speaking of pizza, it's not bad for a gas station. The crust and base are pleasantly fluffy. The sauce is quite good and the cheese is pleasantly toasted. It's on the greasy side but has a good garlicky flavor to it. The french fries are a real winner. Both the standard and curly fries are crispy, light, and flavorful. My vegan wife likes the veggie sandwich as well. Finally, the people that run the shop are nothing but polite and friendly. I can recommend Deb's Variety without a doubt!”

Lol, be sure to ask them about there Natty, Ghetto Betters T, shirt. Downtown Bangor. Its the new 70's Old Capehart. Full of character & all known characters. Great staff.”

“We were into this store a few weeks ago to cash in some winning scratch tickets for new ones. When we got out to our car the guy running the register came running out to let us know that we forgot one. We appreciated his honesty. Today we stopped in and tried to add a car wash while at the pump but it was not working. My husband went in to ask why and they said the car wash was down. As we were getting ready to drive off the cashier ran out and handed us a free car wash coupon and said that he didn't want the broken wash to hinder us from coming back again. The staff here has been very honest and friendly. It is nice to find a business that cares so much about customer service and we will definitely be back!”

“I personally think this is the best Shell station throughout the areas of Bangor, Brewer, Old Town, Hampton, Holden, etc. The store is very clean, staff friendly and kind. And the one thing I noticed as well recently to share is that I log my gas intake, cost and miles before fill-up. THIS station seems to have good fill-up. Let me please explain: I went to another Shell in the city. I won't say where as I don't believe in slandering stores. But I started at 58 miles at fill-up. I paid $28.00. The gas cost was $3.12. but my fill-up only went to 328. I drive the same milage everywhere. Yet at THIS Shell, I filled up with 80 miles to start. The cost was $3.14 (more expensive this time throughout the city). My gas went up to 350 miles in the reserve and I only paid $25 (the only difference between a 56 mile beginning fill-up and an 80 miles fill-up is 22 miles!). I should have had more gas at that other Shell station. My point is that I don't feel ripped off here at all. I question if others have a way of doing this. According to my records, my guess is, "Perhaps they do." It almost always seems my tank ends up MUCH FULLER when I go here. Plus their bathrooms are always clean and pizza fresh! I've been to some other Shells...well, I won't go there. Thank you Shell Wilson Rd.? I think you're awesome!”

“I love Circle K and was the manager in NH & MA. Everything is typically clean and organized. I really love their updated coffee stations so you know without a doubt that you are getting a fresh cup of coffee...wondering how long the coffee urn has been sitting there is a thing of the past! The fresh hot food options are impressive and the pizza is delicious! I don't visit them so often these days, but they always had a few wicked good deals that didn't make sense to skip out on; like two 20oz sodas for $2.50 when the price of one was $2.49. Unfortunately, employees don't inform customers of current deals anymore. There is a lot employees are no longer doing from what I've seen, but that could be a management issue and definitely where I am going to end.”

“Well lit gas station just before you reach 395. The bathrooms were spotless, and the store stocked with plenty of snacks for the road. No sketchy clientele, no odors, no vomit on the ground, average market value price. Diesel is on separate island/pump with the propane. Glad I stopped here.”

“Nice store but the intersection of Griffith Road and Ohio street is extremely hostile towards pedestrian traffic. The walk buttons are all broken and no cross walk painted on the road. Drivers taking too sharp a turn onto Ohio street end up driving on the curb sidewalk. Bangor Maine is behind the times when it comes to putting pedestrian traffic in safe and sane conditions”
