The Owls Head Transportation Museum is a world-class museum in picturesque Midcoast Maine, home to an operating collection of antique automobiles, aircraft, motorcycles, bicycles, engines and more. It is known for its vast array of special events, including the New England Auto Auction™ and the Wings & Wheels Spectacular airshow. The museum is an over-the-top surprise with great exhibits and a large variety of aircraft, autos, and motorcycles. The displays are well laid out, very informative, and the vehicles are super-shiny and very well cared for. It is a great place for families, with little play areas throughout, a STEM area, and a free flight simulator. Knowledgeable employees are ready to answer questions and even provide guided tours. Visitors should plan to spend at least half a day, especially if an event is going on. The experience is well worth the cost and the drive, making it a place many plan on returning to.
Was perfect for a rainy memorial day activity. We were able to see most everything with barely anyone else there.

House head is an amazing place to visit. This was the first time I’ve been back in about 15 years and it has grown so much so much more to see. They have wonderful doses to take you around and tell you about everything. It’s just an experience everyone should share.
