Decided to switch to T-Mobile based on an informal poll of my neighbors. After years of abuse from Fi and Mint, T-Mobile is such a breath of fresh air!
I love that if someone calls me, with T-Mobile my phone rings. Then I can answer the call and talk to the person. I can also call other people, who then comment on how much better I sound now. I can also send and receive texts in real time. Real time! I actually have to silence my phone at work now.
Sure, this is the bare minimum. But I'm paying for the bare minimum. I want the bare minimum. I'm now, for the first time in my life, getting what I want and am paying for in terms of a cell service plan.
And on that point, the team was really great. They did what they're probably supposed to do and made sure I knew about the higher-tier plans, but I never felt like I was being upsold or pressured to commit to more than I was prepared to. If someone from T-Mobile corporate see this, THAT'S A GREAT THING. In fact, please rework your app so that it's a little less full of your own ads and innocuous-looking sliders to enable new features that also result in an upcharge. Also, please fix the microsites for your authorized retailers so that they show all the different plans available, not just the most expensive ones. I wouldn't have known the right plan for me even existed but for word of mouth.
A huge thanks to Bobby and Adrienne for helping me through the process of switching. Their kindness, attention to detail, and systems knowledge made for a quick, painless, one-stop solution to a pretty big issue in my life. I don't expect it anytime soon, but if I have a problem with my phone or service down the line I'm totally confident that the team at this store will help me out.”
“Our associate Ryan was so very helpful, despite a terrible flaw in the AT&T system that was not allowing for processing of a new phone upgrade. He was so patient, has exceptional customer service skills and made sure we left satisfied with adding an additional line and device to our plan. “James is an amazing sales representative. His customer service skills went well beyond my expectations. I went in with a sim card issue on my iPhone 13 and left with an iPhone 15 pro max and a new iPad. James gave me the best advice and explained all of my options clearly. My boyfriend and I spent a few hours at Verizon on a Saturday, which doesn’t sound like fun, but James made it a friendly, and welcoming experience. I got two brand new devices and my bill went down! James was great to chat with as well. He even made me some coffee during my visit! I have never felt more well informed and confident in my cell phone carrier than I did at yesterday’s visit.
