Cozy hotel in a great location for downtown Portland but rooms on the smallish side and current construction in lobby makes it feel a little snug.

excellent rooms and location. Valet operation is the heart of customer service here, awesome team, but front desk was not too warm. superb themed appointments throughout the hotel.

This is the 4th tribute/autograph collection hotel I’ve stayed at, and to be honest - I’m not sure it deserves the title. Nothing really went wrong with my stay - but it was just very lackluster. Rooms were very basic, for comparison the latest courtyard Marriott layout is MUCH more premium feeling, roomier, and more practical.Bathroom was very nice with a rainfall shower and nice shampoo/conditioner set ups. Toilet was dirty upon my arrival. No real amenities that would make this a 4 star hotel in my eyes. Nighttime valet attend was the highlight of my stay - very swift and eager to help.

Overrated for the price. Not enough amenities to justify the price.

Great stay and love the location in downtown Portland. Very nice and modern hotel with great service. Easily accessible to restaurants, shops, and the waterfront by walking.

Very cool hotel situated minutes from everything we wanted to see. The staff was helpful in every way. Would certainly stay again!

The room itself was small but nice. The construction noise above was not nice. Frequent stay status means nothing. There was no kitchen service at all. Location was near city hall and we had to stop on the street to get out. No parking. Only valet. I won't be back.

During our recent stay (Feb 16th - Feb19th), we were woken up around 8am on Saturday by construction noise on the 4th floor. Up on inquiry, the front desk informed us that they’re remodeling the rooms on the 4th floor and they’re unable to put us in a different room. The noise continued through out the morning and resumed the following day. Extremely disappointing!!!There should be posting on the hotel’s website informing guests about the remodeling and the noise level.

I wasn't impressed with the Press Hotel. There are two other hotels in the Old Port I stay but both had no availability. So I decided to try the Press Hotel for the first time. The two other hotels and the Press Hotel are all in the same price range. The Press Hotel offers less, the rooms are much smaller, and aren't as nice. Most of the staff were very professional, and kind. The female waitress staff for the restaurant were rude, and unpleasant. For this reason we chose not to eat their during our stay.I booked a room for two days, but checked out and checked into a better hotel the morning after the first night. The Press Hotel still charged me for the second night saying cancellations had to be 48 hours in advance. That's fine a second night would have been unpleasant. We will not be staying their again.Noteworthy details: Over priced compared to nicer luxury Hotels in the area closer to the ocean.

A splurge for us because we were attending a show at Merrill Auditorium. Very nicely appointed room, but small. The bathroom was gorgeous and oversized by comparison to the room itself. Loved the fluffy warm bathrobes provided. Location is excellent, walking distance to many many shops and restaurants. There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel. The Union Restaurant itself was closed for renovations when we were there last week but there was still food service from the Inkwell Bar. We did note that reservations were desirable if you wanted dinner (and even for breakfast) but they were very accommodating since we were staying with them. It is a popular place and the bar was busy the nights we were there.

Very clean hotel with a bit of a fancy ambience. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, bathrooms were clean and modern. A subtle but very appreciated touch was the full sized pump hand/body soap in the bathroom and shower (as opposed to the cheap bar soaps that no one likes). There's also a restaurant and bar on the first floor of the hotel. The hotel is located right in downtown Portland, with easy access to plenty of restaurants, bars, and other attractions. My wife and I walked a few miles and had no problem getting to places without a car. Only downside would be the required valet parking that is $40 per day - there's no self-parking for hotel.

Location excellent. Rooms are great. Service a 0. Avoid !!!! We were snowed in and all service was cut off. No food, no beverages, no help. Completely useless front desk. Sad Don’t expect a high end service experience.

Great place, the union restaurant and inkwell bar makes it the kind of hotel that makes a trip to Portland
