“We have a ‘89 seaswirl striper. The boat had an old Johnson outboard which I couldn’t keep running. Nobody I spoke with would even consider looking at it let alone work on it due to its age. We spoke with Jim at Al’s Sport Center and he did look at it for us. Long story short the motor was gone. Water in 2 of the 4 cylinders and no ignition and low compression in one of the cylinders.
Most likely head gaskets. Also the head bolts were likely to break when disassembling. He informed us the boat itself was in good shape. We left it with them to repower with a new Honda outboard and couldn’t be happier. The price was fair and the communication and turnaround was great. Thanks Jim and Nick.”
