“Ok so I usually don't review a box box store but this is a special situation. The customer service went above and beyond this time! I purchased a colored prelit Christmas tree from the Home Depot. I waited a week before I realized that the top two thirds didn't work due to faulty wiring. When I returned the tree to exchange it for another they were all out of the same priced tree. The staff scoured the whole store looking for one but couldn't find one for me. Feeling kind of bummed I went and picked out the next pre lit tree that had colored lights and it was more expensive than the one I purchased. While the woman was processing my return she mentioned it was more expensive and I said "Yes I know but I'm having my family over for Christmas dinner and would like to have a tree." I know you're all saying I could have found one on the internet but I really feel like supporting local. Even if it's at Home Depot-the employees work and live in my community. I've heard it's said if you spend $1 at a local store then 60 cents stays in that community. After looking again, the customer service staff ended up giving me the tree as an even exchange, I was blown away! Wouldn't you know I misplaced the receipt and only just found it-passed the expiration date for the survey so that's why I'm "Yelping" them. To the customer service staff, you might never read this, but thank you for your incredible customer service and kindness-your gesture made my home feel filled with the spirit of Christmas when my family came over. I truly appreciate what you did, proving it's the person in the orange apron that is the best of Home Depot. As it is with all businesses small and large. Support local and keep your money in your community!”
“During my move into a new apartment, we hit quite a few bumps. I have an upgraded washer and dryer but moved into an old building that made this a very difficult task. Aaron’s staff transferred them from the old apartment as well as came multiple times to fix the multiple issues we ran into. In the end, my washer needed to be sent out for service and they came and gave me a loaner in the mean time. Moving has been stressful on it’s own, and I appreciate the effort multiple staff members made to fix these issues!”
“I received a pair of skull candy earphones for Christmas. I understand these are not expensive earphones, $30, but they we not the $12 ones either. They stopped working in January. I took them back today, only to be told the Christmas deadline had already passed and they couldn't do anything for me. The deadline for returns is January 15 unless I purchased an extended warranty! Very disappointed that these earphones lasted about a month and Best Buy would do nothing for me. Poor customer service and the gentleman helping me kept referring to the "script" that I was past the deadline for returns. I didn't change my mind about the purchase... THEY STOPPED WORKING!!! No one is customer oriented anymore! Unhappy customer!”
