“Not sure about the automated portion, but the self wash was working just fine. Good option for cleaning a large dually truck! It would be nice if there was more guidance on credit card use and time available.”
“When I picked up my car, it honestly looked better than the day I bought it. Every inch of the interior and exterior was meticulously cleaned and restored to perfection. Can not recommend enough!”
“Convienant self service vacumes, full service car wash, gas and store. Rags and window cleaner. Convenient membership options with barcode on windshield they can scan each time making things super easy.”
“They are reliable, honest and operate with integrity. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for some amazing detailing. Vito always takes the time to answer any questions I may have, and provides me with all the options available. As a woman, it can be difficult to find someone you can trust with your vehicle, so I'm very happy to have been referred to clean slate Auto. Vito is the best!”
“Local go to car wash for over more than a year now! Love that I can go as frequent with a monthly pass. Quick and great service, very much appreciate Kyle who offers to spray down my mats. It’s the little things!”
“Truly, this place is amazing! I called two other places first and never got a response and I wish I'd just called Maine Recon first. I was scheduled in quickly to get a bunch of tree sap removed and the results surpassed my expectation. It's clear that for Josh and his team, detailing is not just a job but a CRAFT. They treated my Hyundai with the same care they would give a fancy car and the results were amazing. I don't think my car looked this pristine when it came off the manufacturing assembly line! Josh was fantastic at explaining every step of the process in plain language and making sure the job was done quickly, efficiently, and up to his impeccable standards. Their waiting area was also super cozy with a sofa, mini fireplace, wifi, and stocked fridge. Can't say enough great things about Maine Recon! (photo below shows the halfway progress and you can see the amazing difference)”
“Thanks for taking excellent care of my Mustang. He never looked better!!! Your professionalism, more than fair and competitive pricing and patience with this picky owner is so appreciated 😊. Can’t recommend Xtreme Mobile Detailing enough. Honest, fair pricing and outstanding work!”

“Expertise! Professional, friendly, caring! There is no place better to take your car for the best service from the best people!! Especially want to thank Donnie at the Scarborough location, from the initial appointment setup to giving me a reminder phone call to sharing from his knowledge and experience what best to make my car “sparkle”, and his recommendation was not based on higher priced menu options. He just cared. They’ve certainly earned my trust and I’m so grateful to have found them!!”
“Ryan is the hardest working guy I've seen here. Every time I see him he has the best attitude and takes great pride in his work paying attention to the details and always thanks me for my service. Great work Ryan! Thank you for your hard work.”
“I took our F350 here for the $25 service. Overall I was pleased. However, the fenders and running boards weren't touched. Also, it went thru the dryer in about 6 seconds, which didn't dry it much.”

“This is a 24hr touch-less and power-cloth vehicle wash facility. It’s hidden behind Aroma Joes and can be difficult to reach due to the narrow road. The quality of wash and availability is excellent.”
“Best car wash I’ve ever been to. The owner was very attentive, making conversation with his customers, walking around and keeping up with/maintaining his business. He saw me vacuuming my car for over an hour (I love the beach, so it needed to be vacuumed badly due to sand and kids lol) and helped me get my car extra clean once I got to the car wash part. Wonderful, just wonderful. I’d give 10 stars if I could.
Also the vacuums work great, overall very impressed and I will be back!”

“Great facilities and good selection. Impeccably clean restrooms. I'm superior a very convenient location right off of the highway. The staff were courteous and helpful. Good amount of parking. They also offer free vacuuming service but service but I think you have to purchase a car wash in order to receive the vacuum service.”

“This gas station has the best automatic car wash in the greater Portland area. I used to go to Scrub-a-Dub but my car always had more scratches on it after being washed there. Ever since I started washing it here, there have been no additional scratches on it. It also seems to do a better job than the one at Irving (Cash Corner) or the one on Broadway across from the bowling alley, which is super fancy but always leaves parts of the car dirty and applies way too much wax. The simple, unassuming car wash at Big Apple cleans thoroughly, doesn't scratch, and doesn't over-apply wax. What more could you want?”
“I went to wash my truck tonight after work, and I thought it worked great! I got a lot of soap, the wax was really spraying heavy, and I didn't have any problems. This is my first time, but if it's like this every time I go, I'm going to be very happy with Tom Cat car wash. Time will tell, and I'm hopeful it will be great next time.”

“Update: 8/20/2026 - again, another fantastic job. Pick up, drop off, car is spotless, smells wonderful.
Absolutely wonderful. He picked up right on time, detailed impeccably, they even were able to buff out some damage and get a couple of stains out on the velour type upholstery. I'm very happy. I used him a year ago, and will again too. Great job.”
