Down Maine is the best. We have some high maintenance dogs and Down Maine goes above and beyond for our girls. Cookie was a mess until we started seeing Dr Knickerson - awful allergies, getting mast cell tumors removed every month, constantly vomiting. All of those issues have been addressed in our time at Down Maine.

I arrived early, yet had no wait to enter an exam room. Everyone was nice and friendly, better yet no one judged me for my chubby cat! Both the vet and tech were great with my cats, handling them gently and professionally. Pretty sure the shots and exam cost less than last year (??)

AAHA is a voluntary hospital accreditation that only 10% of practices achieve. They require high standards of care in all aspects of the practice. Special areas of interest are Dentistry, Dermatology, and Internal Medicine. We also offer high quality soft-tissue surgery.
