“My spouse and I have had a great experience working with Penobscot Financial Services. We do not live in Maine but found them on the web when we were looking for a fee-based group in New England. It is not like us to go without a personal recommendation but we liked the clarity of the website and our initial interactions with Jessi and Tyler. From the start, they were extremely professional, organized, and personable. We liked them and trusted them, and that has made every meeting more productive and enjoyable. They have given us sound advice on investments and important nudges to update wills and other legal documents (which Jessi reviewed with a fine-tooth comb). Overall, Penobscot is just what we were looking for--professional without feeling too "corporate."”

“I went to the OOB branch and it was such a great experience with such lovely people. Deb helped me out and I think she deserves a raise with the transaction she helped me with!”

“So hands down the best experience with tax prep so far. I would say 6/5 stars since he quickly found and corrected an error in my filing for 2022. If you’re looking for someone who swims in both tax pre/planning and financial advising waters THIS IS THE PLACE. It checks all my boxes I am tremendously satisfied, I see it as a long term relationship after my first season!”

“Can not recommend Andy Kane to anyone who is looking for a mortgage broker enough. We have a difficult project that has taken a year he has been very attentive and reliable the whole time.”

“Updated review from 2021: (5 stars) Looks like they changed their investment limit policy. Super helpful staff and available to answer a wide range of questions. Glad to see this branch now provides assistance to the average Mainer.Previous review from 2019: (1 star) Couldn't make an appointment here as they only cater individuals with at least $500,000 invested. Not available for the average Maine resident. Lame.”

“The complaints concerning phone advice and service problems are like whining about the cold weather - what did you expect, anyway? If people need a hand holder then they should not be with Fidelity. Try your local stock gouger. He'll answer all your questions and charge five dollars a minute for "advice".Fidelity is top notch. I am in Portland frequently to visit my son but I have never felt the need to go into the Fidelity office. Why? This is a hands off low load / no load / no frills mutual find company that just so happens to offer many of the options that full service offers - without the service...When I want money / transfers / notaries / etc - I go into my credit union. They like holding hands and they also sell mittens.”
