“One of the best fountain pen memorabilia stores in Maine. If you want Inks, or European pens (Kaweco or (Jacques) Herbin products) this is a lovely stop. I hope they're still carrying them now as I only checked this summer.
Staff is nice, goods are pricy, standard fare for tourist towns”
“Totally love this place. Worth a stroll often, always new things to find. Half our house is furnished from finds at 10 Mechanic. Also the staff is cool and enjoy them as much as the shop!”
“Best to go in July for harvest but any day is a great day on the farm. Picnic tables avail so bring lunch and enjoy the beautiful gardens. The barn is amazing. The products are luxurious and worth the splurge. They even sell plants so you can start your own lavender garden.Farm and little store is in Appleton and the main retail store is in Camden.”

“Great diversity in merchandise to be sold. The old woman is lovely, even though she doesn't know who I am.It's a beautiful store!!! They are very attentive, fast and nice.”
“Hand dipped candles! The owner is actually 2nd generation Danish American. I toured the factory and was privileged to see the actual hand-made production process. They specially formulate the waxes to create 'no-drip' candles. We gave several of their candles as gifts this year.”
“Swans Island Company makes fantastic blankets and apparel--they're beautiful and highly practical too. Many of their products are handwoven right here in Maine from organic wool or cotton. Check out the store next time you're in Camden, it's a cozy little shop right near the harbor.”

“My better half loves this store. Their handbags are crafted from recycled rugged maritime fabric used in sails. They are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. This weatherproof material will last forever. I am quite impressed with the quality and design. Their stores sell other products as well. I like all of the different maritime symbols and designs Sea Bags imprints onto their products. Cool stuff.”
“My daughter and I had a great experience shopping at the Stonewall Kitchen Camden Store!. Both the manager and associate were so helpful, and very nice & we went away with lots of goodies shared all the way to Colorado for Christmas! Thank you Jillian for all your help. Susan”
“Bring a trailer if you buy larger pieces of furniture. The craftsmanship is impeccable and it rivals Amish home furnishings. It's all solid wood, with quality finishes, and the drawers are English dovetail. They carry a wide assortment of items, too, not just furniture. Prices are fairly good on most items, but keep in mind that it's all made in the USA, not in Mexico or southeast Asia.”
