“The sandwiches you can order here are amazing, they're made to order so you have to wait a couple of minutes but it is so worth it! Their grab and go breakfast food is also fantastic! We ordered both and then took it up cadillac mountain- cannot recommend enough!”
“this place is perfect. we got two hard boiled eggs, saltine goldfish, kombucha, oyster crackers, a banana, and a naked juice. if you know, you know. our cashier was friendly and had a handy flashlight. the bathroom was very clean! we stopped in both before and after acadia national park - that's how much this place rocks! it's all smiles at the friends and family market!”
“Fun little market. Great variety of groceries - even better variety of foods prepared in house. Pizza, sandwiches and salads made to order or ready to eat. And they’ll slice up meats and cheeses for you to buy by the pound. They also have lots of ice cream available at the little ice cream shop on the side of the store so you don’t have to go into the store if you don’t want to. Friendly staff. A tad pricey, which is why I gave 4 stars.”

“This is a large property with room for any size rig or RV. There are separate gas, propane and diesel fuel islands. The store is loaded with grab and go food items, great selection of hot coffee and other essentials. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. I had 3 bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming.”
“Jeremiah is great easy to work with helps my bakery out when I run out of boxes, and he does it very quickly. We have purchased many different items and will continue to make the drive from Bangor to Ellsworth to do so. We enjoy doing business with this company”
“Everyone there is very friendly and accommodating. They work hard to keep up with the demands of a busy kitchen in the midst of a store that is frequented by customers. My kids love stopping in for candy and snacks (well, I do too...) the pizza is very affordable and tastes good.”

“Hubby & I came in on a Sunday morning 4am. We needed some coffee to start our 15 hour car ride back home. The place was of course, empty. Aric behind the counter was super friendly. He made small talk while checking us out. I've grown to like the chain Circle K here in Maine. They usually have all the necessities and employees are always so friendly.”

“If you told me I was going to love a gas station this much, I'd tell you you're crazy. Freshies is unlike any other gas station- it had a full service sub and pizza shop. I got a caprese pizza, with fresh basil and balsamic glaze on top. The dough was hand stretched and created, and made to order. The wait was a little long, and the staff moved a touch slow- but I considered this the pace of the state, and as an out-of-towner, I just waited patiently and explore the rest of the offerings. They had a FULL liquor store inside this gas station. As a NYer, this was insane to see- they had scotch, vodka, etc- everything you could want! There was a nice coffee station, milkshake machine, etc. It was so good, we went here again a second day to get sandwiches for the road. They also had a good supply of Humpty Dumpty chips in a flavor called AAll-Dressed. These were life changing. I bought ALL of the bags they had (only 4 left) and ate one on the drive home, and another that evening at the next hotel. This place is clean, accommodating, has a lot to offer, so if you are going to picnic at Acadia or just want to stock your campsite- this is a great place for everything, and to get some fresh-made and affordable food.”

“Stopped in from a day at Acadia. We got a case of water, snacks, and gas. The owner was working the counter. He was friendly and funny. He had an extensive hard liquor, beer, and wine section. Plus other enery drinks, soda and water. They also had a few pastries, candy, and chips. I think they had 4 pumps. There is plenty of room to get into and out of.”
