Hannaford

Pharmacies, Grocery Stores
Hours: Hannaford is a grocery store that offers convenient shopping options such as grocery delivery and pickup at its location on Hannaford Drive in Westbrook. The store aims to provide a wide variety of high-quality, local, fresh foods and groceries at everyday low prices, making shopping easier for customers. The store features a small but decent butchery section and a fishmonger with a good selection and fair prices. The produce is standard, and the bakery staff are friendly and helpful, often going above and beyond to assist customers. Many employees are generally friendly and understanding, creating a welcoming environment. However, there are some concerns. The deli has been criticized for closing early, and staff attitudes there can be unfriendly, with issues like poor slicing and damaged cheese. Some customers feel the store has gone downhill in quality and service, citing higher prices compared to other stores like Walmart. There have also been reports of employee misconduct, including an incident involving an employee allegedly starting drama and causing a dangerous situation, which raises concerns about employee screening. Still, many appreciate the store's efforts to feature locally grown produce and support small local businesses, enhancing variety and quality. The store's prices are becoming more competitive, and the food is generally fresher than in most stores. Improvements suggested include expanding the vitamin selection and maintaining high customer service standards, especially from bakery staff. Overall, Hannaford provides a convenient and mostly positive shopping experience with room for improvement.
