“Never Been to a Hannafords. We were passing through town on our way to Millinocket Maine to Climb Mt Katahdin and we needed a few items. The store was ver clean and well as the bathrooms. The staff and local were also very friendly. I dont get up to Maine very Often but I will definitely be back to Hannafords when I do get back there.”

“So glad I stopped in here when I saw the sign from the road!! The staff / owner were so sweet and friendly. The energy when you walk in the door just feels good. I got a breakfast sandwich and it was the best one I’ve had in a long time. I can’t remember what style the bagels are (Montreal?) but I think that’s what made the sandwich stand out. I’ll be back :D”

“Used them more than once for our cows. Always friendly and packaging is great. We were accidentally late at last drop off and he was more accommodating than he should have been ? sorry again. But they are our number one choice when we have beef cows that need processing!”

“they have so many amazing store brands. super well built. the clover valley brand is amazing food! they have better prices than Walmart at least 50% of the time, especially if you use Dollar General app coupons or iBotta rebates!!!!! Love the huge selection of frozen and Shelf-stable foods. they had my favorite drinks when no other grocery store sold them. Snapple strawberry kiwi! they have the best prices on so many of my favorite foods, better than Amazon, the grocery stores, or Walmart!!! they have awesome store-brand pillows that I bought and which are knit-pillow top and thick and fluffy and absolutely amazing. only $10 each! they had my favorite Dial body wash when no else did. they have my favourite handsoaps and my favorite makeup tools. dollar general is absolutely amazing. the product line up is stellar and the prices are honestly unbeatable. I LOVE THE FROZEN SAUSAGE ROLL. u gotta buy it!!! best thing I've ever eaten. just slice off a thick slice and it makes an amazing breakfast Sandwich!!!”

“Food is sooooo good and at a great price. Try TAC and fried mushrooms. Also grab a s’mores cookie from the area with the coffee machines. They also have bacon ends and pieces…even Walmart doesn’t sell those anymore! Honestly I was surprised how much stuff they can fit into the market…truly they have everything you could ever need. Staff is always sweet, attentive and prompt with service. And what a beautiful little drive to get there. Make time to visit, you will not be disappointed.”

“Oh how this store is my home away from home. I love having the ability to travel to a place that will have everything I need and then some. Granted some staff members are always away from the register but that is due to taking the pride they have in their store and show it by the cleanliness and presentation to the customer. By far the best Dollar General in Maine.”

“Great convient supermarket in Winthrop. It was extremely busy and a lot of items were down to the bare bones, probably because of the 4th. Have most items that they have in a larger Hannaford, but convience of Winthrop. We would have to go all the way into Augusta otherwise. Lots of fresh produce, seafood and meat. Normal prices and sales. Great clean store, friendly employees.”
