“Shaw’s is always quality, but at a higher price. Love the wide aisles and the good lighting. Prices are usually higher than Hannaford and Market Basket but with the internet clips, they can be a nice advantage.”

“I am from out-of-state, The people I visit in Damariscotta shop here all the time. I stop in from time to time when I am in town and shop here as well. Great prices, great selection, friendly staff. I love the hometown feel, when I walk in. I miss the private owned grocery stores like I used to go to growing up in my hometown. It is a welcome pleasure to shop here every time I am in town. ?????”
“Local veggie and fruit stand on the side of the road before you get to Hannaford. They usually offer a variety of pies and, if not currently in stock, can make you a delicious vegan blueberry pie if you give them a few days notice. Fresh strawberries were also great!”

“I am totally mystified by a few of the reviews. My wife and I have shopped at Hannafords a hundred times in the last decade. Never had a bad experience with an employee. Quite the opposite. All I can say is the bad experiences must be pretty rare.”

“I was at the counter with bad knees and back, when I said, oh shoot I forgot my ginger ale! I must have looked defeated as she told me it was at the back of the store! She said , you hold on, I have got this! She was so fast,went and got it for me! What a sweetheart, made my day! Not sure who she is, always pleasant! Dark long hair, slender build! Great customer service, all of them are nice!”
