Perfect little cabin or larger rooms, we have stayed in both while renovations were done on our home. In the summer the breakfast is home-cooked and the best. A hidden midcoast gem for locals and tourists. 5 ?

Our first time in Maine, after driving through 9 hrs of rain and heavy traffic, we were relieved to arrive at this quaint lodge for three nights, the breakfast was always fantastic! Ladies were cooking the breakfast fresh, overheard someone ask for a special fried egg and the lady said “no problem” Their muffins were so good and fresh baked, everything was excellent. Coffee was delicious. Personnel were friendly and helpful. We walked the trail around the lodge. Went sightseeing around town, had a lobster roll at Spragues. Cute harbor town with lots of architectural homes. Visited the Pemaquid lighthouse & Park.

I love this place. I've stayed here four times -- try to stay here on every trip to Maine. It will not be to everyone's taste, though. If you like a cozy, rustic, friendly place with a good breakfast of real food, you'll like it here. There is no view, unless you get one of the cottage rooms that have a little back porch looking into woods. There is some car noise from Rt. 1 (I like the motel type rooms -- set a little further from the road.) And the rooms are a slightly worn, but well equipped with nice fridge with freezer, and microwave. But, the rooms are wood paneled and cute, feel like cabins, and are very homey.

Very good location convenient to most sites in the mid coast region. A few minutes into the beautiful village of Wiscasset. Good breakfast, well maintained grounds, nice walking path and responsive and caring staff. We would definitely stay there again.

A great place to unwind with friendly service and managers who care. Excellent home cooked breakfast. A bit noisy due to US Route 1 but only a bit.

The room was very nice, bed quite comfortable. The breakfast every morning was delicious, loved the biscuits and sausage gravy. The staff was polite and very friendly. There is a nice little trail behind the lodge for a quick walk.

My husband and I stayed here a few nights over July 4 week and loved it! The manager Trish was so nice, and the breakfasts made us non-breakfast people breakfast people. Loved the food, variety and the dining area. Enjoyed speaking with other guests. Wiscasset is just a few miles in any direction of great towns to explore so it was our base. Thee is a Maine tasting room across the street which was fun. Loved our rustic, and spotless, room. It reminded us of going to camp, but much nicer. Last, we were visited each morning by a couple of the neighbor's sweet chickens, looking for snacks. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Rustic old motel. Manager Trish was very friendly. Breakfast was wonderful, the blueberry cobbler delicious. Nice porches to sit out on. On busy road but not noisy. Comfortable bed.Nearby activities: Great central location to venture off on day excursions.

The staff was very pleasant, and the room was clean and ingood condition. Full breakfast, including scrambled eggs and sausage, was served to my table by a very friendly cook in a lovely dining area. There was also a delicious looking blueberry buckle, which I discovered too late - I was too full! A very nice alternative to big box motels. The only negative is that it is located quite close to a busy section of route 1. There was a lot of traffic noise, but it quieted down later in the evening and didn't interfere with a good sleep. There's a nature trail behind the motel, which I didn't have time to explore. I plan to return next year - and walk that trail!
