“We ordered a custom cherry cabinet, initially for CD storage. It is, as is usual with Chilton's, beautifully made and very handsome indeed. The craftsman working on it checked a couple of our specifications and called us to point out a change or two that we definitely wanted to make. We are very pleased with, but not at all surprised at, his care and attention to detail. A+, Chiltons. Well done.”
“What a great witchy store! It was recommended to me by a local friend. I saw that they also offer readings inside. The selection of merch was definitely unique. My husband appreciated that there was educational material as well.”

“Great shop to visit often. Lots of great art. Oils, water colors , prints and sculpture. Something for everyone and every home. Attractive prices too. Check it out”
“I really like stopping here every time I visit Freeport. I like their "pick 12 teabags for $3.95" I can pick out tea to see if I like it without buying a whole box + other fun UK goodies! However calling it British Goods when a large portion is Irish and some Welsh items is a bit of a misnomer but all and all it is a wonderful shop.”
“Awesome unique shop with something for everyone! Women’s and men’s clothes. Various home goods and accessories. Best of all dog friendly! The workers were all so sweet and helpful. Got some awesome BYGO half off deals too. Super cute shop and totally recommend.”
“Such a big place! There's a lot to see. My toddler enjoyed all the mobiles hanging up and the children's books upstairs. This is a delicate store tho so kids must be watched!
We found gifts for everyone here as they have everything from jam to wool socks.
Owners were kind and helpful and easy to talk to!
The only issue we had was parking.”

“Fantastic layout and selection of rocks, crystals and jewelry, very large and organized. Cody was such a personable employee and knowledgeable about everything in the shop,he was such a help in selecting a ring for my wife's birthday gift. If you're in Freeport, I totally recommend Crystal Joys.”
“The food is frankly phenomenal - it's themed around delicious Cajun fare, but your traditional bar staples (*cough* try the fries *cough*) are also absurdly good.
The cosy atmosphere is reminiscent of Cheers, there is frequent live music, and the best part is that (outside of live performances) they don't blast the music! You can hear yourself think and have a conversation without yelling, a rarity these days.
Bonus points because all their stools/chairs solidly touch ground with all four legs, so no wobbling all night because you got the dud seat.
Gardens outside for those who are into plants, and an eclectic consignment store right next door for that good wandering.
Haven't tried the breakfast/brunch menu yet, but excited to go back for that.”
“Really nice JoAnn's with tons of fabric! I found everything I was looking for for my most recent project with ease (and maybe a bit more, haha). The only weird thing is that the store was dead silent, I guess all the crafting goods stacked high capture the sound like a noise cancelling barrier. In any case, I was very pleased and happy I found some material I was struggling to find anywhere else.”
“A beautifully merchandised store with sweet and special kid items not seen everywhere. Stop here for a birthday gift, kid’s party supplies, a host or home gift or even the sale room— not to be missed! There’s a sense of the owner’s personal vision in this store that’s so welcome in downtown Freeport.”
“I come to Portland Maine at least once a year and always go straight to Jen’s studio. I love her designs and the “primitive” feel of her jewelry. I’ve pretty much given up wearing any of my other jewelry.”

“Nice Staff, open and clean store with Quality Apparel. I am happy with all of the shirts that I had purchased. Although they did not have fishing gear, they did have items for dogs. Great shopping experience.!.”
“Old Port Specialty Tile has a great selection of tiles, including many that you don’t see in other tile shops. We initially bought small glass tiles for our two shower floors and had them installed about five years ago.
Unfortunately, some of the tiles started popping out about 18 months ago. It turns out that, even though the manufacturer of these tiles didn’t acknowledge it, they weren’t suited for floor application. But, not to worry, Old Port Tile let us choose replacement tiles and installed them at no charge. That’s what I call exceptional customer service.
We just had our new floors installed, and they look great. I’m so pleased I selected Old Port Specialty Tile for our project and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to our friends.”
“Absolutely love this store! Whenever I visit from California I make it a point to stop in here and buy something. The staff is extremely friendly and kind. Everything here is beautiful and a great value. Highly recommend stopping here when checking out Portland!”
“Leslie was super helpful when I came in the store looking for a night stand. All of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Coming here was a great shopping experience!”
“I was surprised to see a couple of 1 stars in the reviews. I am suspicious of reviews that are one sentence. Also a few reviews that use the same words!! I had a wonderful experience at this shop. The owner let me in a few minutes before she opened. She was putting merchandise on the sidewalk but let me and my dog go in. I found her to be very friendly and talked about our hometowns. I bought a vintage hobnail tea light holder and a Little Tikes solid wood table and chair set. The price for the candle holder was the going rate. The price I got for the table and chairs was fantastic!!!! I would overlook those questionable reviews and go browse the store.”
“i walked into the store at 6 and was told they had just closed at 6 upon entering (google says 7pm). i mentioned that i was just coming in for a pickup order and the associate was kind enough to let me pick my item up even though they had closed. i didn’t get their name but if you’re reading this, thank you! this store can be a hit or miss depending on what you’re looking for, but overall great store with great associates”
“Nestled in the second oldest surviving building in Portland this hidden gem is a must see. Surrounded by some of the most beautiful textiles you will ever see or feel this is a must stop if you are in Portland if for no other reason than to see the amazing decor and gorgeous original architecture showcasing these beautiful blankets and throws, candles and accessories. This place is is amazing eye candy for all of your senses. The brainchild of two life long Mainers it is a constant flux of new colors and materials which won’t disappoint. Hans is a wealth of energy and information and couldn’t be more helpful and has been an incredible guide every time I’ve stopped With textiles featured in the guest rooms of The Canopy hotel and the showrooms of Chilton furniture I was thrilled to eventually find this showroom nestled in the heart of Portland harbor.Having made multiple purchases I can attest to the quality and longevity of their products as well as the beauty it provides for your home.If you are in Portland and love beauty, charm, comfort or simply architecture do not dare to miss this shop. And tell Hans I sent you (I’m sure he won’t remember me but it sounds so connected doesn’t it?)”
“Extremely knowledgeable and adept in understanding what her clients want—and translates it with ease. Extremely fast. And always, always my favorite chat of the day. :)Service: Alterations”
