“I’ve had a wonderful experience with G. Willikers. This beloved family-run shop is a true gem in downtown Portsmouth. They offer a fantastic selection of books, toys, and gifts, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes every visit enjoyable.
As a local author, I’ve been especially grateful for how supportive they are of the local creative community. The family behind G. Willikers goes above and beyond to champion local authors and help connect their work with readers. Their encouragement and enthusiasm make a real difference. I highly recommend stopping in whether you’re shopping for a gift, a great book, or simply want to support a business that genuinely cares about its community.”
“This shop is jammed with cool toys and kids' books. They have Legos and jellycat stuffed animals, Mad Libs and puzzles. Educational toys, sensory toys and 3-D printed dragons and dinosaurs. It's hard to leave without something, even if you don't bring your kids with you.”
“Didn't shop here but man the A/C in here is GREAT after a long hot walk on Marginal Way!
Go to the very back left of the store for the best A/C ever.”
“I looked all over for the VW Mini Pastel Flower Power Bus for my son for Christmas. They processed and shipped my order FAST! Thank you so much for your work, lets support small business!!!”

“I had an amazing experience at this store! It offers a fantastic selection of souvenirs and gift items. If you find yourself in Portsmouth or even just passing through, make sure to stop by—you won't regret it!”
“I live in Maine about 25 mins from York. I go to the beach a lot with my two autistic daughters (4 and 2). We met some friends there today and one had a boogie board. Well my 4 yr old was having non-stop meltdowns about it and I walked both of them over to Beach Funatic to see if they had any. Not only did they have a good selection at reasonable prices but the sales clerk knew we were heading back to the water and took all the plastic off for us!!! She went way above and beyond to help me. She didn’t know my daughters have special needs. She didn’t know I was stressed to the max trying to avoid my kids eloping in the store or running into the street. She just wanted to do something kind for a mom with two little kids. I didn’t get her name but I hope she knows what that small act of kindness did for md today.
Kids LOVE the boogie boards and their dad is planning the trip back over to teach them how to use them. Thank you!!”
