From our first call to schedule an appointment they did the legwork of calling our last 3 vet officers to get our dogs records. Our first visit with Dr. Abbott she was both thorough and compassionate. She explained everything and presented us with her plan for our allergy pup as well as going over the cost prior to charging us for anything. Follow up was equally as great with daily checks. Blue was definitely BLUE prior to his visit but after having his brother Chunk with him for moral support and sneaking kisses to the ladies he was immediately much more comfortable. So pleased with the care we’re receiving. Thank you Dr. Abbott for taking such good care of our big “puppy”. Recheck in 3 weeks and our packs looking forward to it!”

The vet that we have used in the past did not have the ability to perform the emergency surgery our sweet girl needed, and after one quick phone call, we were on our way to PAH. I am so very glad we ended up here! Every single staff member we have dealt with has been top-notch! (The Vets, the clinical staff, and the reception staff) It feels like they love our sweet girl as much as we do.(Love this!!) Even though a scary awful situation brought us to PAH, we have now switched to PAH as our full-time vet, and we couldn't be happier!!!”

“Another shout out to Sagamore Animal Hospital! Not only for the wonderful care of our pups, but for the excellent Customer Service from the Front Office and the Docs. This past week we needed health reports for boarding our dogs out of state. The boarding facility kept asking for records in different formats, updated in a certain fashion, etc. I felt badly asking Sagamore multiple times in multiple emails but they responded immediately and professionally with all our requests. Great animal care and Great customer service - can’t beat it, and Thank You Sagamore Team.”

“Dr. Laura and Amy, the vet-tech who dealt with Luca, were very caring and skilled in dealing with not only Luca, our anxious rescue Lab, but also me with my concerns and questions about his various issues and symptoms surrounding his Kennel Cough. Dr. Laura is always very thorough and informative regarding his care. Dr. Moffat, who has treated previous pets of ours, has also been very informative and compassionate, having come to our home to euthanize them when we needed that personal care provided. He's always gone the extra mile. My only concern regarding Kittery Animal Hospital is that on their receipt for services they do not automatically include detailed information about the reason for the visit, the diagnosis, and the treatment. I generally have to ask for these "soap notes" before and after a visit because they are required by Luca's pet insurance when submitting a claim. It's also helpful to have this written information, itemizing what was discussed with the Vet as part of my dog's medical record. So, it's basically a matter of providing a more inclusive, detailed form at checkout.”

“I've been a client for at least two decades. I've enjoyed all of the doctor's and technicians - they all work hard and put their hearts into taking care of our fur babies. However, I will say that Dr. Guerino stands out the most. I know he's their Medical Director and has a lot of experience, but being exceptional takes more than knowledge and experience. It takes a special person whose employees regard highly and clients trust fully. I want to also say that I highly recommend the VCA's Care Club program for anyone with pets that have chronic illness. We tried Trupanion and it was a flop / fight - that caused more trauma than it was worth. However, Care Club has saved us a ton of money and allows me to know that we can afford / budget for the care my beloved cat needs. DO NOT decline this coverage, you will not regret it! I truly love the whole team at the VCA, but I want to call attention to two special technicians - Mike and Laine. You both have something special, Mike - my cats just love you, you understand how to make them comfortable and you're a great guy. Laine - you are a great communicator and you helped teach me how to administer meds to my cat - which would've otherwise been an impossible task. I'm so grateful for the love and care your whole team provides to me and all of my Rainbow Bridge fur babies. God bless you all.....it take special people to do the work you do!”

“The staff is always kind and helpful and thorough with explanation when we have questions or concerns. My dog was very nervous the first time we dropped him off for his treatment but thereafter he was cool as a cucumber and totally comfortable and at ease with the entire process. He goes in there like a boss now and absolutely adores the nurses and Dr Kow!: ) This little guy is doing so well at nearly 16 years of age even with the complications that have brought us to Port City and given us hope and much more time than we would have ever had otherwise. “My Cocker Spaniel Ladybug saw Dr Dahl last week. It was our first visit. Great staff and wonderful vet. The Dr listened to all my concerns and provided us with excellent care. So glad I changed Vet Clinics. I had been with a Clinic in Berwick,ME since it opened many years ago, however since the front office staff and vet techs left the practice recently I knew it was time to look for a new vet. On the advise of a friend who knew the owners and the senior vet tech at Post Road Vet I made the call for an appointment for my 12 yr old Ladybug. From the exam table that raises up saving all our backs especially mine and Ladybug's since we both suffer from bad backs to the awesome tech who followed Ladybug around outside multiple times trying to get a pee sample. I was thrilled at the level of professionalism, and caring for my girl.
I highly recommend this clinic. I have been to many vet clinics in multiple states over the years and I am very impressed with Post Road Vet clinic. Thank you for taking good care of Ladybug and checking on her multiple times since the appointment”
