This IGA is a friendly neighborhood store with a great atmosphere following recent renovations, noted for being more inviting, clean, and having better lighting. The deli offers popular quick snacks, sandwiches, and hot soups, along with small containers of cut fruit. While not everything advertised may be in stock, the store represents a great improvement for the North End and remains a cherished local spot for many.
They make some very good donuts. The boxes they provide to put them in is a complete joke. Worth messing with though. There’s no way to keep the box closed either so you’re dealing with a bad box that’s falling open till you cash out, then they tape it closed for you. Good service, none the less.
