31 Nicola Dr, Headingley MB R4H 0A9
“Saw a documentary on why you shouldn't buy your dog-food from the big box stores. Looked for a better quality supplier. Found this one about a year ago. Dogs are healthy and happy with the food. Service here is great. Owners are helpful and friendly. If you buy a big bag it's a very short trip from your car to the shelf you bought it on and I don't doubt they would load it for you if you asked. Quick and easy shopping.”

“I just learned about the store this past weekend. Was searching for a raw diet cause I wanted to get my dog back on it. In the past she had issues when a company changed the formula. I found out abot Evolution. A local Canadian company only sold at thrive. I went in today and met Marc. Shes an amazing woman! Very knowledgeable and helped me with other products as well. I want to keep my dog and cat as natural as possible. Thank you again Marc and I know I will be back to see ya again.”

“Been a customer of this company for years now. Never disappoints when I’m looking for something in particular. If you don’t have what I’m looking for, you either order it for me or help me find, even if it means going to a different store. Well today I was looking for a particular product and the staff here are not only knowledgeable but obviously very empathetic too. Well, I broke out in tears in the store today and was treated with such kindness, understanding, and empathy. We all know animals don’t get live as long as we would love them too and we can be prepared but are we really prepared when that time comes. It still hurts like hell. Thank you to staff for looking into and doing some research on a certain product I purchased today. This company always goes above and beyond and that’s why I’ve been a customer for years. Thank you and big hugs to you all.”

“I bought a bird feeder from them a few years ago. Some varmints, probably squirrels, chewed through the inner mechanism. I thought i needed to buy a new one. A very pleasant lady at the store told me it could be repaired. I took it in, she replaced the part, NC! I am thrilled. What a great place to deal with. Thank you!!”

Dakota Park Place, 200 Meadowood Drive Suite 4, Winnipeg MB R2M 5G3
“Such a great experience. I used the dog wash for the first time and it was super clean, and just so easy to use. I had some trouble finding a product that I needed and the just amazing staff were there to help me right away. They were so kind, and polite and I noticed them asking other customers as well right as they entered the store if they needed help and what not. It really makes the experience better for us customers. Keep it up guys! I am telling all my family and friends who have pets to shop at Pet Valu Meadowood! Cheers, John”

“The staff here are amazing! I’ve always been an animal lover and pet owner and have been purchasing goods and services from this locations for years. My fur-babies love everything this place has to offer ❤ Zero complaints about any of the staff, service or policies. That being said, I am so surprised to see a negative review posted recently by a woman (Susan) who lacks time management skills and isn’t taking accountability for herself and blames the store. She was late to her appt and called to let the store know - When did she call to say that she would be late? It wasn’t over 48 hours (per their policy which SHE provided a photo of) obviously. She likely arrived over 15 minutes past her appt time, which per the policy means that she may need to reschedule - which is what happened. No one to blame but herself there… Thrusting blame onto a business who, proven by her own photos, reached out afterwards to try and resolve any issue that may have been had, instead of just owning up to her own mistake is ridiculous. And to post the employees personal phone number — absolutely abhorrent! Susan should be ashamed of herself as that is a breach of privacy so feel free to report that review based solely on that! That being said, should the staff had mentioned the late fee when she arrived that? Yes - BUT, maybe they did and she isn’t saying as it makes her look even worse. Everything in her entire review just screams that she is entitled and lacks accountability. Again, I have been a client here for years and years and haven’t ever had any issues with anyone here and was VERY surprised to see a negative review so thought I would stand up for what’s right. Have a great day, all!”

2136 McPhillips Street Suite 10, Winnipeg MB R2V 3C8
“My husband I usually attend this location but sometimes they get busy with the dog wash so we have gone to Main Street a few times, they aren’t as friendly there and dog area is not clean for that matter. Sometimes we have no choice as our dog needs a bath. After today’s incident at Main Street it really shows the difference in customer service, cleanliness and professionalism. We appreciate the service we get at McPhillips, and today it really showed the difference in staff and training.”

“I rarely post reviews, but when I do its important to me to highlight the positives. Went to Best West St James on fish Friday. Spoke with manager Geoff. He provided great recommendations and was kind and patient with me while I hummed and hawed. I decided on a filter and some fish and went home to setup my cycled tank. That night the filter died. Geoff took care of everything. Fixed the filter, replaced the fish that passed, and showed me how to do repairs should an issue occur in the future. Great service, top notch product knowledge and very helpful demeanor. Will definitely be back for more products. Appreciate the time and help. Please take care of employees like Geoff.”

“The store is so clean and tidy. It's a bit confusing in its placement of products but the shelves are well stocked and organized, everything is perfectly visible, the lighting is bright and it's not overly crowded. Overall, it's a very nice store to shop in. The only less-than-positive experience was with the cashier. We were talking while she was checking me out and she literally just full stop started ignoring me mid convo so that she could look at this shedded snakeskin that her colleague (who interrupted us while she was cashing me out) brought up to the front. They both just tuned me out after that until she handed me the receipt. I was like the least she could've done was show the snakeskin to me!”

“My favorite pet store! I also shop online. Their selections and prices are great and customer service is excellent. I buy cat food, treats, toys and cat grass. I used to grow my own grass but sometimes they didn’t grow well. The grass from PetSmart is dense and lush and my cats love it.”
