The Winnipeg Art Gallery is a great activity to do with a family or on a date. It is one of the largest Inuit art displays, featuring an incredible and stunning collection, including a whole building filled with artwork. The gallery offers many different styles and often rotates the artwork, so there is a variety of pieces. They always have absolutely incredibly orchestrated and educational shows of art and culture you can't get anywhere else. The European collection is small but the pieces are worth seeing and well chosen, and there are a few Group of Seven works. It is a bit difficult that they are not open on Monday and Tuesday. Visitors are advised not to take the elevator or they will miss the beautiful exhibition in between floors. The gallery offers the second Sunday of the month free. They also have a little coffee bar that makes the best latte, though there is not much for snacks. The staff is incredible. Definitely plan on going when in Winnipeg and plan on being there for the better part of the day, as it is highly recommended.
