“I had my car at a shop down the street where they told me I needed to replace both of my rear wheel bearings and quoteed me over $2000 for the job on my Ford Escape. I called Independent just to get a quote, and not only did they quote me around $500 less at the high end, but once I brought the car in they found I only needed ONE bearing replaced. They let me know a few other things to take care of with up front pricing, and with no pressure whatsoever.

“I had an excellent experience with Auto Sense Auto Services in Millersville, MD. On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, I called about a tire repair after rolling over a nail and spoke with Hailey. She immediately advised me to drop off my car and assured me they’d work on it as soon as possible.
Since it was too cold to walk home, Hailey offered their transport service for customers within a 10‑mile radius — which worked out perfectly. I dropped my car off around 10:15 a.m., completed a little paperwork, and their driver courteously drove me home. By 3:15 p.m., Hailey called to let me know my car was ready and arranged for the driver to pick me up.
The driver was professional and polite, the prices were very reasonable, and the entire staff treated me like family. My car ran perfectly after the repair, and the tire was fixed without issue. To my surprise, Hailey even included a coffee mug, a Yankee Candle air freshener, and placed my keys on their personalized keychain — such a thoughtful touch!

“I stopped by when a friend recommended Tony's after a dealership stated my entire exhaust system needed replaced and quoted me an outrageous price. The staff at Tony's had eyes on my car not long after arriving and stated that the dealership had exaggerated the condition of my exhaust. “I've been going to Thomas Porter (Tom) at the Midas 2021 store in Pasadena, MD, since 2018 when I was serving in the Army. During a difficult financial period, Tom helped me keep my car running without ever making me feel pressured or taken advantage of. That level of honesty and integrity is rare, and it's the reason I've never trusted another mechanic more.
Over the years, Tom has become much more than just my mechanic. Whenever I have to take my vehicle to a dealership for work that Midas can't perform due to manufacturer restrictions or specialized repairs, I still call Tom first. He'll explain what the dealership is recommending, tell me whether it makes sense, and help ensure I'm being treated fairly.
When I'm buying a vehicle, Tom is the first person I ask for advice. His knowledge, experience, and straightforward approach have saved me from making expensive mistakes more than once. I trust his judgment completely because I know he's looking out for my best interests, not trying to sell me something I don't need.
Tom has also mentored a great apprentice in Shaun, who has earned my trust as well. In fact, Shaun is the only person I'd consider second to Tom when it comes to working on my vehicles, and even then, I usually double-check with Tom because his opinion carries that much weight with me.

“The owner/specialist is a master craftstman!!! Had a dent on the plate above the driver side door handle. And took the car to different shops and everyone said the whole door needs to come out and the dent cant be fixed so easily because it's double plated, blah blah blah... “Likely the best quick oil change location within 50 miles. The team works really well together and communicate really nicely with the customer.
$109 for full synthetic oil is not cheap, but I’m not going to recommend doing it yourself unless you love the process- I do not.
I highly recommend using this location of Jiffy Lube.”
