CVS Pharmacy is often described as the best of its kind, with stores that are always clean and staff that is friendly, helpful, considerate, compassionate, and pleasant. Customers report short wait times, an easy shopping experience, and frequently walk out totally satisfied. Staff members are noted for being accommodating, valuing customers, and even remembering them after years. The pharmacy team is acknowledged for being professional, putting people first, and working hard to solve problems, such as navigating medication shortages or switching prescriptions with professional judgment. However, significant issues stem from company policy rather than the local staff. The company is criticized for insufficient staffing, leading to pharmacies that are overworked, understaffed, underpaid, and never able to catch up. Policies have resulted in reduced hours, including closing for breaks, and can prevent staff from sharing inventory information between stores due to theft concerns. While individual stores and their teams—who deal with doctors, insurance companies, and customers—are often appreciated, the overarching corporate policies create frustration. This includes problems with medication backorders, lack of communication from the pharmacy on refills, and a general sense that the company does not understand why people do not want to work there. Consequently, the experience can vary greatly by location, with some stores providing exceptional service while others seem slow and bothered.
In my opinion, CVS is by far the Best of all stores of its kind! It's Always Clean, friendly/helpful staff, short wait in line (if there is a line). Easy to find what I'm looking for. I've rarely (if ever) gone into a CVS and not walk out totally satisfied with the experience. CVS is definitely the place for me!
