Protean Books & Records is an amazing little gem and a cool, awesome place located in a converted warehouse in downtown Baltimore. It is a huge store with plenty of space, chock full of a huge selection of books and vinyl records, plus clothes, toys, games, knick knacks, video games, and movies. The fun, eclectic decor makes going there a whole experience. Prices are fair and great, and the customer service is super friendly and helpful. It is a lovely spot with a nice, friendly experience, full of rarities and unexpected finds. It is highly recommended.
Really amazing little gem in downtown Baltimore! Loved the huge selection of books and vinyl, and the fun, eclectic decor throughout the shop. I could easily spend hours in here. Support your local bookstores yall!

Located in a converted warehouse. Hard to find if you aren't looking for it. But we were happy when we did. Nice selection of records and books. Prices were fair and customer service was friendly. Decent neighborhood and plenty of parking. Located close to the stadiums and only a few blocks from Inner Harbor.

This place is so cool, I had to dash in and out, and the owner helped me find exactly what I needed so fast, but I definitely need to come back so I can browse around and buy some more vinyl records ! Going to Protean is a whole experience you should definitely try ! 5 out of 5 stars !
