Roses Discount Store, a popular shopping destination in Newport News, Virginia, offers a wide range of affordable and convenient products. Customers often praise the store's well-stocked shelves, reasonable prices, and the ability to find just about everything they need. However, some reviews mention accessibility issues, with boxes and pallets obstructing the aisles, as well as long and slow checkout lines due to limited staff. The store's restroom policy and the presence of screaming children have been a source of concern for some customers, though others suggest that as long as these aren't issues, Roses can be a great alternative to larger chain department stores. The store's pricing policies have also drawn mixed reviews, with one customer experiencing a discrepancy between the shelf price and the checkout price, which was not resolved to their satisfaction. Despite these occasional challenges, many customers remain loyal to Roses, appreciating the convenience, variety, and affordability of the merchandise, including name-brand and quality items. The store's ability to adapt to supply chain issues and maintain a decent shopping experience is also noted by some reviewers.

I usually shop at roses when I got home to visit my family in Newport News, Virginia. I find it to be a very very well stocked place. I go to the roses that’s on route 17 and it is amazing. You can find just about everything there and the prices are extremely reasonable.

Way too many isles that were not accessible. There were boxes and pallets everywhere. Lots of items that they use to carry were not there. The check out line was rediculiously long and slow. ( Only one open)
