Sheppard Pratt Health System's Towson campus offers a range of inpatient units, day hospitals, a Crisis Walk-In Clinic, and specialized programs for mental health and substance use services. The campus has been a resource for individuals seeking care, with mixed reviews from past patients. Some former patients have shared positive experiences, particularly with the adult day program, praising the attentive and caring staff. However, others have reported inconsistent quality of care, with some staff members described as rude or indifferent. The emergency department has also been criticized for providing unhelpful and disrespectful treatment. Despite the varying experiences, Sheppard Pratt Towson Campus continues to serve as a mental health facility, providing support and treatment to those in need. For some, the campus has played a significant role in their recovery journey, while others have struggled to find the right level of care and support.

Mood stabilizers are antiepileptic drugs that don't actually stabilize mood, but suppress emotional responses by sedating and calming people. It's no surprise that doctors believe antiepileptics work against mania, since anything that numbs people's emotions helps with mania. No guarantees. Hopefully, this helps someone.
