“As a contractor for mount Royal I would say this is one of the best/better, Apartments/Townhomes that they have. The maintenance staff is very good and management is great. 5 stars from me me ✨✨✨✨✨”
“Edited with update: left my original so you can clearly see the growth!
Since the new management company took over, there have been massive improvements both physical and with their business practices.
1. The water issues were actually all the way fixed and it’s reflected in our water bill that it’s fixed. I’m talk a different of $40 a month less fixed.
2. Communication from the office about contractors coming in and out of the building is at the best of their ability as much notification in detail as they can provide to a complex this large.
3. All public facing office staff are polite, courteous, informed, and willing to go seek answers if they do not have them themselves.
4. Rules and expectations of residence are clear and equitable when they are being enforced and communicated.
5. Yes, yearly rent increase happens BUT they are within area norms. Am I paying what I was paying in 2019? No, it’s not a rent controlled complex…..
6. they are not upgrading units, they are gutting them. They are fixing not just the pretty things you see but the functional items you depend on like the plumbing And electric.
We are clearly not leaving for a while as the housing market sucks but We’re grateful to be living in this complex with the current staff that is working there. We also know when it’s time for us to move, our leasing office is going to make the transition into homeownership incredibly simplistic.
Original post from 2022:
I have been avoiding writing a review until we moved out. I wanted to be able to be able to look back and be subjective, we have past that point. After going 6 hours today with no water and no communication from the office unless I called them, now at 10 pm tonight I find that yet again we have no water. I call the after hours number because this would fall under the emergency category and was told that no one was going to come out and then hung up on by the maintenance person on call. Does this shock me? No, because the general indifference of this place is so painfully clear.
We have waited months for the complex to clear out storage units filled with trash so we could gain access but you best believe they can clear or a 3 bedroom apartment when someone is getting evicted in about 45 min. Some part of our apartment literally fall apart in our hand on a regular basis. Tub and caulking around it starting bubbling and flaking away, kitchen faucet crumbled in my hand, bathroom sink is just a mess all the time and our toilet runs at least once every 45 min. Unless you know, they randomly turn the water off for who knows how long and that happens more often then I can say without any notification. We have chosen to only call to get things fixed when its clear that we must because 1. its a battle and 2. we need to be home as anytime we let them in the apartment when we are not here something of ours get damaged.
We are continuing to deal with a person who manages to smoke an insane amount of pot to the point that I can clearly smell it in out back bedroom. They live caddy corner across the hall from us by the way so that's 2 metal doors and a hallway between us. yet, can still manage to have loud domestic disputes on a weekly basis. Really, I didn't know you could be that angry and that high at the same time and substance use is my profession. I have written many emails documenting the problem and my concerns. I am told they are working on it.
We first moved here to save money to buy our first home. We renewed our lease because of COVID due to my work, wanting to keep things stable for our daughter and the housing market but trust and believe, we will be leaving this special little spot of crazy as soon as we can.”

“Shout out to Drew and the maintenance team. Quickly responds to service calls. Polite, knowledgeable and efficient. Why I chose an apartment over renting. Been here 5 months - took the apartment due to location to work. Good first starter apartment. Anything I need is at most a 19 minute drive.”
“We’ve really enjoyed living at Belcove Place. The layout of the apartments is great, it’s very dog-friendly, and the location is perfect—close to downtown Bel Air but it is very quiet and comfortable here.
Chrissy and Margaret and everyone in the office are always super helpful, and Damon/ Patrick and all the maintenance team are quick and definitely reliable whenever something needs attention.
Overall, it’s been a great experience and we’re happy to call it home!”
