“Krissy the owner is absolutely amazing. She’s such a lovely person and she knows all about her products. Prices are fair and the selection is great! From glassware to furniture and art work, I can promise you will not leave here empty handed.”
“Best shop on the Ave if you haven’t been here I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU VISIT. The hospitality is amazing, the flavors and variety is crazy, and its local. The best pop up UPTOWN. If you know you know!”
“Excellent thrift furniture store. Prices appear more reasonable compared to many competitors. Discovered a lovely midcentury modern dining buffet. Giving it 4 stars - will certainly revisit for any future furniture needs.”

“I take a trip here maybe once a week to see what's new on the floor. Great store and great (vintage) selection for very reasonable prices. It's a honeypot of old furniture and fixture items!”

“We've been to this merchant a few times. I have a differentability (thank you to my little great niece for changing my perspective ?) and I some times require an aide for walking. My husband and I found some beautiful hand carved canes here and at very reasonable prices. We receive constant compliments going through the airport home and even more when I use them as a walking aide.Purchased hand made leather shoes from here and my son was elated with his gift ?.The staff is always very friendly and you can meet some very interesting people here as well. The store has two levels so don't miss going upstairs. There is definitely a lot to see ? so plan on spending some time to find your treasure. With all that said a little more organization would be nice so you can better see the selection and they have cats all over the place which I was not a fan of. However, my family and I visit here pretty much every time we're in the area and we look forward to viewing their new offerings.Check them out! Hopefully you'll find something interesting of your own in your visit.”
“Very organized on-line auction with lightning-fast invoicing and shipping. Perfect packaging. And he answered email! This was just a small purchase and we were treated as if it were a huge purchase. Thanks so much and we will be watching for your auctions. Judith Oder”
“I’ve been friends with Doug for about 12 years and Modern Mobler in DC and Kensington are the best stores to shop at for Mid Century Modern Furniture, art, glassware and decor. It’s just like stepping into a Mad Men set.”

“This wonderful antique store is located in historic Savage, MD in a mill that was converted into a shopping and dining complex. While perusing my new neighborhood, I stumbled upon Foxrun Antiques. I purchased two pieces from the owner, Paul Olson, who has a wonderful collection of beautiful antiques at extremely reasonable prices. He was extremely helpful in assisting me with the pieces. I searched high and low online for a dresser to suit our needs but could not find something to match our Ethan Allen iron bed frame. But at Foxrun I discovered a gorgeous mahogany dresser that could have been new it looked and felt so substantial and polished. While in search of the dresser I also stumbled upon a pedestaled bookshelf with a drawer and had to have it. The cost of delivery was nominal and delivery was convenient and handled with care. This store is a gem in the region. Having lived in Washington DC for over 20 years, I am accustomed to paying outrageous sums of money for sub-par quality from shops like West Elm or even Pottery Barn, but there is nothing that beats solid wood pieces built by true craftsmen. If you're looking to outfit an apartment or home, I highly recommend Foxrun Antiques.”
“I love Cheeky's! Heather has done a really great job at finding unique, useful mid-century housewares and furniture at reasonable prices. Her stock is always changing. Today I bought a set of campaign coupe glasses, a splayed fruit bowl, and lovely pearl inlayed ceramic coasters. In the same area is Suffragette City Vintage wears and jewelry. I bought graduated rose quartz drop earning and also many vintage pieces in the past. You also cannot miss My Dead Aunts' Books! I can spend hours in this place! Thankfully Vigilante and Franklin's are nearby!”
“I love GoodWood for its selection. I love their incense and candle selection. The staff have never acknowledged me in the 3 times I have been inside and few times I have purchased. The owner seems to be very nice, though.”
“Had a great experience. Chris had a lot of nice stuff Wich suites to my similar interests. Had some neat taxidermy few oddities really neat wood carvings. “Great shop for thoughtful gifts. There’s a perfect mix of new and vintage. The owner is very personable. Shops like these are becoming more rare. Highly recommend.”
“Don't be fooled by the hateful reviews - Denise (the owner) is a very very sweet old woman that sometimes simply lacks some social awareness. once you get talking to her she gives you awesome tips (like how to avoid creeps and keep your bag safe from thiefs). I've spent hours in this store and always find something cute and nice i've never seen before.”
“Ballen furniture services does exceptional work! Mr. Ballen is a master carpenter and craftsman indeed. Ballen is a hidden gem tucked away in Beltsville, Maryland!”
