Yesterday (2025.03.30), I had another awesome experience at Bikenetics.
Thanks to the first 70+ day weather of the year, I got ready for the first ride of the year only to notice a broken spoke on my rear wheel. So, I headed over to Bikenetic to drop-off my bike for repair. When I got there, Jan, the owner, took care of my bike immediately while explaining what he was doing. Maybe 15 mins or so later I was out the door with the broken spoke replaced in time to hit the W&0 for a 40+ miles ride in a gorgeous Spring DC evening weather.
Since, I purchased my beloved Bianchi back in 2021, I have had multiple similar good experiences at Bikenetics. So much thanks to Bikenetic and friendly staff. Best Wishes.”
“Great staff, great products, honest prices (competitive with internet ones or even better), great in person service. They exactly understood what we needed. We bought a Scott e-mountain bike a couple of months ago: it is great, very light, you can use it with no motor, but then the motor helps you when there is an uphill. BigWheelBike's staff perfectly tuned and adjusted the emtb. Some weeks later, we bought a second one, similar, and we were offered a great deal to upgrade the first one with electronic gear shifter. They perfectly upgraded. You can feel these guys love bikes, and they know exactly what to do for the best, kind, professional service.”

“Eric fixed my son's eBike after a crash severed cables and wrecked the brakes. He was easy to work with to get the bike picked up and dropped off and his work looks excellent (he even did a bit of tuning). I doubt Eric is the cheapest option, but he's no more expensive than the bike shop and he's faster and easier to deal with. I'll use his services again for sure.”
“I have only been here once but I am in love! I felt so well taken care of. I brought in a bike I had found on the marketplace because it had squealing breaks. I had just proudly dawned it up with my lock, lights and phone holder. The mechanic looked it over and gave me a reasonable quote for the new breaks. He also pointed out to me the back tire had rot! I would have never noticed this being brand new to biking and was so grateful. But it made sense because the way the bike had been stored was not the best. So he helped me pick out a great new tire giving me lots of good options. The whole fix only took two hours and when I came back I saw they had also secured my lock so it was not wobbly and the screw that secured it to the bike did not catch my pants anymore. They also gave me a Velcro tie so it was really secure. At this point I was just so grateful because again this is all new to me and I would have had no idea how to do any of this. I will 100% be back for anything I need done in the future.”

They asked a few questions and quickly got to work. Their quick turnaround and helpful suggestions were greatly appreciated. They were friendly and helpful, just what you need when you're trying to solve a mechanical issue. Highly recommended.”

Everyone here is highly knowledgeable and very kind.They let me take all the e-bikes out for a spin, multiple times, before helping me decide on an xtracycle RFA. I love it so much!”
“My chain was skipping, so I called trusty Silver Cycles. Since it feels like the dead of winter, they could provide same-day service. They expertly installed a new cassette, chain, front rings, and bottom bracket -- priced reasonably.
They called as soon as it was ready. When I picked up, the owner told me they weren't happy with how my bike was shifting on the front rings. I responded that it's an old bike and hasn't shifted well in years. Still, she went outside with me and asked me to ride around and provide her feedback. After a short ride, I told he that it shifted way better than before.
Such excellent service and real concern that I was pleased with the work. Silver Cycles is now my 'always' bike shop!”

“I stopped in after I broke a flat spoke midride on a downhill speed bump riding my old tri bike. I stopped in out of necessity after walking a few miles in clipped tribike shoes with old keos. They didn't have the flat spoke for my old wierd 650x25c but they got me riding back to rolling to make the trip back home. Great service and affordable work. They set me right to get the thing back home and still riding well today.”
