“As far as I’m concerned, this is the best place to shop in and around Bethesda! We shop here at least twice a week. The secrets is out and this place is getting busy. I love their steaks but their poly face chicken, eggs, breakfast sausage and beef are a close second. The people here are passionate about what they do and provide fantastic customer service.”

“Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon for to go sandwiches. The space feels authentic and not pretentious (especially for a place in Bethesda that sells premium cuts of meat.) The service was impeccable! A kind gentleman made our sandwiches fast and with great care, nice and toasty and packaged well. We got the Lala land and Mr James. Both were amply filled with quality meats and fixings. We liked the Mr James better but I think it could have used more horseradish. The Lala land was missing something - either spicy like a crushed red pepper or sour like pickle. We also grabbed a bag of everything flavored pretzel chips. Will say that the food doesn't photograph well but it so good!”

“Probably the best quality meat I’ve ever purchased from a store. The NY Strips only needed the famous organic butcher rub, and I’d put that steak up against any top restaurant steak that would cost $100. Highly recommend!”

“I have been searching for a hot pastrami sandwich in the DMV for a while. After a Google search, I found Stachowski's. After reading the reviews and seeing a pictures of their pastrami sandwich, I made the 40 minute drive from my house to give it a try. It was phenomenal! I don't think I could put into words how good it was. Not only massive, enough for 3 half sandwiches. Tender and so flavorful, with just the right amount of fatty pieces. The spicy mustard was just right and the pickles were great. Shared this with my husband who was equally impressed and he doesn't even eat pastrami. Customer service was great. Will definitely be back.”

“The Cheesesteak champ is here!!!! All I can say is that my expectations we're completely blown away. Let's start with the quality of beef, and that was top-notch, I should have expected it as it operates as a butchery shop. The combination of cheese whiz, seasonings, and a bit of mayo that was cooked all together created on amazing cheesesteak. Lastly, the bread that was the vessel for this amazing creation was perfectly crispy, a soft roll that I truly was not expecting here in Maryland. If you like cheesesteaks, do yourself a favor and check them out. The fries were cooked in beef tallow and were perfect, but the star is the steak sub!”

“Stopped in to purchase ground beef and was pleased with the selection of other offerings from overseas. Special thanks for the staff carrying my case of Vimto to my car!”

“I have purchased A5 wagyu beef from Union Meat Company three times in the past year. Everyone is very helpful -- they ask questions about when I plan to cook it and if it's not immediately, they will vacuum seal the cuts for me. A5 isn't cheap, but the prices here are fair. I'm thankful that they always have it in stock and are attentive and helpful!”

“Hidden gem! Excellent customer service. I called to ask a question first and he was very nice. He remembered me when I entered the store. Very calm environment and my meat was prepped nicely. My family and I enjoyed our dinner thanks to their food and great selection of seasoning/sauces! Will return.”

“This review is solely based on my phone interaction with Zack about purchasing some unrendered beef fat. I had called a few closer butchers first but they were dismissive and sounded annoyed I was even asking but not Zack! He was super helpful and gave me an idea of when he might have the amount I was looking for and the price! And honestly, I don't know if that price is the standard (low or high) but even if it was a little higher, I'd get it here for the customer service! It was so helpful for me because I have what you may call butcher anxiety lol. Thank you!”

“Amazing Reuben. I asked them to do 50/50Pastrami and Corned Beef. With an extra side of the thousand island. This was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. The meat was fresh and hot. And the sauerkraut wasn’t over powering. Will be back for sure.”

“Fantastic quality, Khader is the best. While small and cramped (and if you know the family’s story you know why) the meats and grocery items are the best quality. Very Old World. Housemade hummus, tabuli, moutabal and toum are worth the trip alone. He has his own halal farm in Warrenton.”

“So grateful to have found this place! Freshest of the fresh meat, with kind and helpful owners. If you are needing to follow a low-histamine diet, or react to aged meats sold in most stores this place is a must! Every Friday they get fresh Goat and get other meats much fresher than I've seen at other places. What a gem!”

“Al Amanah market is by far the best Mediterranean / Middle Eastern market in the Richmond area! The store is always neat and organized, the owner is a very nice person and is always willing to help you find the best quality of what you need. They have a huge assortment of all the traditional Middle Eastern products. We’ve shopped there for years and have always been satisfied!”
